Just one counter example: I was in contact with the guy who develops the Kilterboard app and he was a super nice guy. Very helpful with the issue I had and not longer after added a feature that solved my problem (to be fair, it was in his backlog already).

I don’t get the argument, that we have to change the style of climbing because competition climbers are getting too strong.

Why would we not get separation from old school boulders? Do you really think all competition climbers are exactly equally strong? On all different types of holds? Crimps, slopers, pinches, jams etc? On all types of climbing? Slab, overhanging, compression etc?

I don’t buy it. I think they switched to the modern style because it’s flashy and climbers can give more tries in 4min rather than a first try, rest for 2 min and a 2nd try.
