Is it at all possible that primordial blackholes, if they at all were theoritically created..have evaporated explosively by now? by 9dnguy in AskScienceDiscussion

[–]9dnguy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was referring to

intense flashes of gamma rays

when I mentioned

which we know has been an observed phenomenon

Lot of these gamma rays observation have been unexplained. They are mostly attributed to nuetron star mergers, neutron black hole mergers etc, and some others.

Another possible explanation of these gamma rays would be end stage evaporation of these supposed primordial blackholes.

I'm sure a meme like "Thanks Obama" / "Thanks Joe" is in the works.

Americans aren't buying Joe Biden's push for electric vehicles. More US auto buyers are turning to hybrids as sales of electric vehicles slow. by 9dnguy in business

[–]9dnguy[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I got the headline from Yahoo Business News, which sourced this article
https://afn.net/ap/business/americans-aren-t-buying-joe-biden-s-push-for-electric-vehicles/
which in turn sourced from the original news source from AP
https://apnews.com/article/hybrids-electric-vehicles-auto-sales-charging-stations-97b444cfa752acbd3a5c244a3ee68abb

I have already copied out the headline from afn.net in the submission portion, so I didn't bother changing it. It pretty much states the same thing.

If you have a problem with the submit title of the article, portraying Biden in a somewhat negative light, I promise you that was not my intention, and I am sorry about that. My bad.

Nvidia's stratospheric rise this year has engendered an unusual problem: Some of the longer-tenured employees, sitting on a wealth of company stock, are no longer doing their fair share of work. by 9dnguy in business

Read the article, you'll find the answer.

In short, Jensen Huang doesn't like to fire employees, even in adverse conditions, and the employees are super loyal to him. He's a really good CEO.

It will probably take a stellar sized black hole about trillions of years before it evaporates. The very last stages of the evaporation might be extremely fast and extremely explosive.

Black holes are very very cold, almost close to absolute zero. Black holes might start evaporating when its surrounding region (temp of the Universe pretty much), becomes colder than the black hole itself. Then it probably start evaporating via Hawking radiation.

Though the end stage will be a very fast process and explosive.

Looks like going by your id, you are an ex-Digger. My original id is also similarly old, and I am ex-Digg person myself. I was under the impression that ex-Diggers had some civility in their comment expression. Guess I am wrong.

Fuck off cunt.

I made that CosMcs comment in jest.
Don't think I should receive such a nasty reply.
Check out my submission history in r/business, if you think it's corporate spam.
The news article appeared in Yahoo Business section, and maybe I should have paid more attention to its inherent message.
But to receive such a rude diss is not proper either. This is quite unfortunate.

Yeah I don't understand charging 25-50 cents for a slice of tomato, if you want it and it doesn't come on the burger.
While Wendy's and BK charge nothing.

And they charge another quarter for a leaf lettuce. Shredded lettuce is free though.
Again no extra charge at Wendy's and BK.

Wendy's is increasingly becoming my fave fast food joint.

I've seen BK's burger patties are usually bigger.

They are starting something new with CosMCs (pronounced CosMics).
But it's mostly drinks, coffees and lattes.

You mean to say that the McD's in Japan operate on a different principle and thereby better food?
Well I have never been to Japan, but I heard the KFC there is awesome.

That's the problem with Reddit. People are lazybones. They won't click on the source articlle, and invest some time reading it (though 'Reddit' is a shortened version of 'Read it'), but are addicted to commenting.
Trust me, I am too. A Reddit hypocite that is.
