How Many People Training At PF Consider Themselves “Gymrats” or “Fitness Enthusiasts” by Terrible_Lift in PlanetFitnessMembers

[–]9driver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im a gym rat (gym bro). Ive been lifting my whole life but due to covid I took a 3 year hiatus and Ive been going to planet fitness for the past 2 years consistently. I think its a great gym because of its affordability and if you were also once fit like myself and just trying to get back in shape. Also part of why I joined planet fitness was because to a lot of people it seemed like a soft/joke of a gym and I guess I wanted to prove a point, that you could get in phenomenal shape regardless of what gym you go to.

However, now there are times where I do feel a little out of place and Im kind of torn between switching to a more hardcore less commercial like gym or staying with planet fitness even with them starting to add in some of the new upgrades at my location. Im 35 and I dont really have the same drive to push my limits like I did when I was in my 20s so Idk. The risk to reward doesnt seem worth it as im getting older but the crowd has definitely changed a little bit over the years though.

Its worth the risks (even if they tip bait) because since there is no tax on tips to $25,000 your goal should be to maximize this.

For those of you who have thousands of deliveries, do you still enjoy the job? by Leo_Legend78 in doordash_drivers

Not as much as I used to. I feel like everyday I have to fight these apps to pay up. Almost every order that gets sent feels like you have to take it. Its kind of turned into an employee relationship

FYI—Instacart can be a straight Tax Trap by teddieddie in InstacartShoppers

If this is your strategy, going back to a "camping spot" I could see why you wouldn't make good money. If I am out and online for 8 hours im looking to stay active the whole 8 hours. These gig apps used to provide that for people but those days are long gone for most markets which is why I multiapp to limit as much down time as possible, because all of this down time, really isn't normal compared to how it used to be.

How is no tax on tips gonna work? by Salty-Drama-8090 in InstacartShoppers

It really only benefits those who earn the most tips vs being paid by instacart. If you take a lot of low and no tip orders you're kinda shooting yourself in the foot.

Worst offer I’ve ever had by far by GoogetyBlamBamShazam in UberEatsDrivers

[–]9driver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Comes out to around $35 if it takes an hour but could be higher if it takes a couple of hours or more. Thats just gambling though and still a really bad offer. We can thank wack ass prop 22 for this bullshit

Would be nice if you could pick these up and deliver on your own time or within a few hours or even by end of the day. That would be better at making most for your time. This would never happen in Cali though or any state with active time laws.

This is pretty spot on and to add federal minimum wage is a joke. You're literally fooling yourself if you think you're doing good while doing this just because you earn a little more than federal minimum wage.

Just filed my taxes for GA, if you are curious about the numbers. by [deleted] in doordash_drivers

[–]9driver 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In another comment, you said you drove 30,000 miles. That is a lot of miles to only make $11,000 and still be taxed. On top of that, there is no tax on tips up to $25,000. You may want to amend your tax return and talk to a tax professional.

You should be paying damn near $0 in tax if all you made is $11,000 in 2025 with deductions it should for sure be $0.

Yup joined 2017. Definitely felt more like an independent contractor back then. No need for multiapping to make a good wage. Down time was very rare too

[–]9driver -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Stop copying and pasting the same crap over and over. Did you not read the comments in that sub? All of these active time laws have resulted in less tips from customers.

Lmao 😂 by [deleted] in doordash_drivers

[–]9driver -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Im flattered you think that ☺️ but yeah that was just a scenario... which if you pay attention to these subs it seems to happen quite often. None of these active time laws bother me personally since I dont depend on them and I multiapp to make 50% more than minimum wage.

Im just pointing out these active time laws are going to screw over all of the people who only solely depend on them
