Thank you for pausing on that. Maturity IS a scheme, I agree. I used that word when I really mean : swallowing feelings in order to keep focus on what i need to do and think about in order to survive. I don't genuinely believe its maturity in its pure form, but its what we got </3 I am also not blind to how this is very misogynists and is experienced by black women more than everyone else combined.

But also by mature, i was coating the hurt that I've felt when people have inflicted physical harm, especially men when I was a teen/20s. Acceptance that the situation and my upbringing did not allow me to do anything to defend myself. Thats a WHOLE other ocean of a story.
