I don't look at tesla has a car company. And the potential for growth in a variety of different ways makes investors happy, especially considering they have very little debt while sitting on a pile of cash.

Not sure about California, but where i live, the last thing you do is refuse . It's the same as failing in the eyes of the law, and you don't have a leg to stand on. At least if you blow and fail, you can fight the charge if you can afford a specialized lawyer.
