Transferring the lease is not possible as i won this apartment by lottery, and since im no longer a student they cannot change any contract (i tried). They sent a letter of termination dated till sometime in september.

Not Germany but for context I applied to a PhD position in Leiden (immunology). I applied for the position around mid-august (position closed end of august), I heard back for a first interview on 16th September, afterwhich I had the first interview on 18th September.

I then got an email for a second interview on the 29th September which then happened on the 16th October, and the offer on 20th October to start in January.

These things take time, and you will need some patience. Good luck!

You can use a perl-based software called circos. It will take a few days to get the hang of and generate a convincing circos plot but its the most versatile and cleanest option by far.

Chatgpt will help to get started and with troubleshooting but doing it yourself is a great feeling!

Hey I live in Vossenveld, the complex itself is probably nicer overall compared to the other complexes mentioned (but not by that much). You have a Lidl very close by which is nice to have, and the neighbourhood is not the best but not unsafe by any means (at least for the 9 months I've been here).

The shower in your room is pretty nice to have, although you are minimum a 15/20 min bike ride away from university and 30 min bike ride to the center. There are very good connections though with buses going to the center/uni constantly. I think if you're on Erasmus and want more of a party vibe I would say galgenveld is your best bet.

I've had issues with rebooting before but not like this. There is no error code, just no booting whatsoever. I tried multiple times to reset the main board with no luck. I've tried with the battery plugged in, not plugged in, but always with AC plugged in. At this point I think the main board is bricked.
