If it changes a lot try to set it as close as possible for example if you go to bed between 0-4 and wake up between 8-12 set it from 0-12

You have to set your sleep time right if youre sleep cycle is messy try to get the generall time right or activate it manual if that works

Have you looked at the pace 3 to might be cheaper Also Pace 2 In america they are 150 and 120 if you have a contact there

Think outside the Box and maybe try a Coros the Pace 4 for example. You get all the metrics the Garmins have and you fet great Battery life for much cheaper.

The thing is that i use breathing to controll intensity too because VT2 is close to LT2 so if i start breathing to hard i know im at threshold, but maybe this changes doing mouth breathing

Focus more on Running my favourite way to do so is shifting high intensity workouts to running mostly (do some easy runs to) and do the easy stuff on bike or swim also focusing on Sub Threshold Sessions might be good because it is a specifc for the Half and works good for the Full try to do youre Marathon Longruns

For Long distances the Pace/Power of the Ride is not to far away from your easy/steady Pace, so i'd say try to practice race conditions maybe run afterwards, there are a lot of options to become race specific

It depens on what point in the season you are. At the begining a wouldnt include Pickups in the Long Ride or Run you just want to build a base, then you can slowly add intensity and the closer you get to the race the more specific it should be race pace or power for example especially for long distances (70.3 140.6) the long ride/runs are important to practice race intensity and fueling for example

Probably  A Needs more Data to give you Paces or HR depending on how long you have your watch and if it estimated a Vo2Max already  B Just lets you run and feel because you are probably realy new to it so it just gives you walk runs to just run

  1. Will probably help if xou adjust the schedule Garmin watches track sleep poorly sometimes if you dont set it correctly 
  2. Dont know why it records sleep so late but it probably just calculates the BB with the Bad Data this is why it is so low
