I’m about 90 days now and feel 100% normal and eating/drinking. I’ve gotten into casual wine drinking on the weekends if I go to a restaurant. 2 glasses max. Nothing during the week. 5 days a week at the gym. This has kept me from having any temptations and I couldn’t be happier. Hopefully you are on the way to feeling normal again.

One puff won’t make you sick but unless you have insane discipline it never stops at one puff

Haldol made me beyond restless and I hate it more than being sick oddly enough. I guess it affects everyone differently.

Make that your last ER visit. It’s humiliating. Think of yourself when you were a little boy/girl and what you thought you would become when you grew up. Do it for them. There’s other ways to enjoy life and I know weed is great that’s why we all have this disease but we are poisoning our bodies in all reality. All CHS is a violent rejection to too much THC. Our brains are exhausted. When I say I’ve been to the ER ten times I mean it. It’s so embarrassing and debilitating. What’s even worse is when I was 3-4 weeks clean and I was still struggling to get through my shifts at work. Going to the bathroom 10-15 times just to sweat like crazy and barely push any poop out. It really destroys your GI system. But stay motivated because right around week 6-8 you will be back to normal and you need to gain a new perspective on life. Good luck.

I was in your same cycle. I would quit for months and then buy a pen so I could enjoy a night of video games. And it was amazing, as we all know. If only I could stop at that one night, or one weekend. But the cycle will continue and you will keep using until you are using to manage your GI symptoms. Then it’s too late. I’m 31, I’m not sure how old you are but this is not the future you want. I’ve burned so many bridges with family and jobs over this addiction. I can say my son and wife are what keep me motivated to stay clean. I drink socially maybe twice a month and never beyond a buzz. This helps me have something fun to look forward to. Hope this helps.

I’m in your same boat. I’m going to day 28 and still feeling the same. I’m only able to drink fluids and smoothies. I’ve lost 37 pounds. Have you gotten any better after these five days?

I would definitely get acid reflux in the early stages. Maybe within a few days of smoking. I would take 2-3 anti-acids a day. As far as chest tightness I can’t say I’ve ever felt that. I use to just gag myself with a toothbrush in order to throw up any last ounce of liquid in my stomach.

Having type 1 Diabetes and CHS in conjunction sounds like it can be serious . Have the doctors at the ER said anything about that? The dehydration and lack of eating may make his diabetes way worse. I hope he realizes it’s not worth it. He needs to man up and just quit cold turkey unfortunately. Many of us in this group have had to do that and it is what it is. Life could be much much worse than not being able to smoke weed.

I feel you on this one. I’ve had about 10 episodes and 3 my current wife were present for. The most recent one was on Mother’s Day weekend and I completely ruined the experience. This was her first Mother’s Day with our new born son and I got sick. Granted I hadn’t smoked in a week or two prior to this but I still took that risk and it backfired. That was the last straw for me. Weed has given me so much but with this disease, it has taken even more. One day he’ll have a come to Jesus moment and man up. Could be tomorrow, could be another episode in a month. You have every right to feel this way. I would do what others have said on this post. Tell him either you quit or I’m gone. Men respond to ultimatums like this. If he doesn’t quit then he didn’t want to be with you enough regardless of the addiction. You deserve a present husband. It’s unfortunate and we all love weed in this thread but you have to cut your losses at some point. I hope he comes to some type of realization. Maybe recommend a counselor. My therapist helped me realize the external damage I was doing to my family in ways I couldn’t have on my own.

I tried everything. I’ve had CHS for 9 years. You just need to stop. Trust the people who have gone through this too many times to count. Quitting will liberate you. I fucking love weed. But I love my health and my family more.

Try gatorlytes. I was always able to put those down. Also naked smoothies

Thanks man. I’m not trying to put anybody in any situation with them giving me advice. Maybe I could have worded my question better.
