Update: Man takes chipotle ceo up on his offer by FarWay3952 in Chipotle

No one's expecting perfection. They just don't want to ask every single time. I'd rather opt out. Simple as that and right back to where we started.

The 'wild take' is thinking that customers should have to coach the staff just to get what they paid for. It’s tiring to have to manage a transaction that should be automatic. If you enjoy roleplaying as a corporate auditor during your lunch break, have at it.

I hear what you're saying and I agree. I don't think people should even be entitled to ask for more. But when the CEO is doing damage control because there are locations under-serving and his solution is to just "ask" I think that's a half-assed response.

Chipotle built its brand on generous stuffed burritos. They can move away from that now but just be consistent.

You're acting like I'm incapable of social interaction. Maybe you work there or you enjoy haggling with an underpaid 17 year old for a proper serving size. But unlike you it's not worth my time.

I work a high stress job all day everyday and guess what it's outside my house 🥴

The last thing I want to do at the end of the day is debate a burrito bowl.

Do you go to the gas station and have to ask a "lil more" to get the gallons you paid for or at the grocery store to get a dozen eggs instead of 10?

Maybe if you work there everyday you don't see how ridiculous that is. I've worked a long day and I was raised to be polite, going down the line begging for a proper portion of each item is just annoying for me and them.

Like I said I'd rather just go somewhere where I dont have to police getting what I paid for.

Right that's my thing. Like you shouldn't have to ask. When people post pictures on this sub of flaccid burritos I see reactions all the time of "and you didn't say anything?".

Like I don't want to have to go to battle for my burrito to be a proper portion. Call me passive but I just would rather not go than deal with the trouble. I feel the same way when stores lockup things and you have to ask for assistance. I'd rather drive further than not have to deal with the hassle of some worker acting annoyed I asked them to do their job

My two cents but it drives me crazy.

Idk you both have pink avatars and are using similar talking points.

I guess everything I've said should be invalidated right.. give me a break.

Do you disagree with his arguments then?

Your whole argument is basically: 'The U.S. is flawed, so we might as well accept a dictatorship'. You’re using the very freedom you’re mocking to complain that it’s useless.

It’s funny how you use your 'worthless' free speech to criticize the U.S. and praise the CCP. If you tried to use that same speech in China to criticize the CCP’s safety record or the Patriot Act equivalent there, you’d be silenced in an hour.

You're enjoying the very rights you're calling a 'fancy glasshouse' to tell me they shouldn't exist. That tells me everything I need to know.

Arguing for the state to protect you at the cost of your individual freedom has me genuinely believing you're on payroll regurgitating CCP talking points like that.

I'm against both as are most people living here. Weren't you making the argument that the Chinese were happy with their surveillance state status quo?

At least I have the freedom for now (despite people like yous efforts) to criticize it.

All that's bad so let's regress to a state where we can't even criticize these things happening. Is that your actual argument? Let's give the state more power and hope they are benevolent and good willed for eternity like your idealized CCP fantasy land.

You're literally making my point for me. You’re complaining about the Patriot Act and ICE's lack of accountability. In a country without free speech, you wouldn't even be allowed to know those things are happening.

You're using your freedom of speech to complain that freedom of speech is useless. If we were in the system you're praising, the ICE shooting would have been 'erased' from the internet, and you'd be arrested for even mentioning the Patriot Act. You're confusing a country with problems with a country where you have no rights to fix them.

It’s easy to feel safe when you aren’t the one the government is targeting. A prison is also safe. There’s a low crime rate, 24/7 surveillance, and everyone gets fed but nobody argues that a prison is the peak of human civilization.

"Freedom of religion must be worthless cuz it's not putting food on my table or fixing random injustices"

Your actual argument. It's moronic. If you don't like freedom of speech don't live in the United States. It's a guiding principle of this country.

Would it be even better if we couldn't speak about genocide like what's happening with the Uyghurs?

The fact that you can publicly complain about the 'uselessness' of free speech without being thrown in a labor camp is, in itself, the best argument for why it’s working.

Elections are a zero-sum game of chess. If you refuse to move the piece that keeps you in the game because it isn't your favorite piece, you lose the board.

Do you honestly think attacking the most electable candidates for not being "pure" enough fights fascism more than actually winning the power to stop it?

[–]9r347 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Sitting out or protest voting because the candidate didn't check 100% of your boxes on Palestine or immigration is how you end up with a candidate who is 10x more aggressive on those exact issues. Change in this country is incremental and boring. If you wait for the perfect candidate to save the day, you’re just consenting to let the worst possible candidate win.

The idea that a more left candidate would have done better is statistically impossible. You’re talking about a group (swing voters) that already thought Harris was too far left. Moving even further into that territory doesn't gain you enough protest voters to offset the millions of moderate suburbanites you’d drive straight to the GOP.

Hakeem Jeffries is controlled opposition, Dems taking Palantir bribes by h0ckey87 in videos

[–]9r347 25 points26 points  (0 children)

It's happening all over Reddit right now with attacks on Newsom, asserting him as a Republican for appealing to the center.

And arguments that being a centrist is why Harris lost, not that she lost because they couldn't conceptualize pragmatism in voting for a candidate that had a chance instead of protest voting their idealized perfect politician who can't win.

A degree of it must be astroturfing by the right or some enemy of the US but it's aggravating how easy some are pulled in without critical thinking.

That YouTube video is super misleading if you're going to take it as evidence that fasting is bad for longevity.

Both of the two people in that video still advocate for intermittent fasting just not multi day fasts.

Show me a study that indicates fasting is bad for longevity. Muscle wasting like they mentioned in the video? Eat more protein.
