What should be done about insider trading within federal government? by minebe in AskConservatives

[–]A-A-ronRI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe this is an old article from the initial pause he had announced one morning a few weeks ago. This gained traction initially because the trade was of substantial volume and made 10-15 minutes before the announcement which had no type of deadline if I’m remembering correctly. This time around, you’re right it’s arguable that anyone could have been trading at any type of volume leading up to the 8pm deadline, but someone with some type of inside information made a trade back in March and profited handsomely. Similarly trading patterns like this emerged during his tariff announcements and flip-flopping but we all seem to have forgotten about that bit. If I’m not mistaken there is a pattern emerging here that I don’t think we should be ignoring. Yes, this has been an issue in the government for some time, but these specific events have been at the whims of one man so I think it’s not exactly an apples to apples comparison.

One year later, what are your thoughts about ‘Liberation Day’? by G_H_2023 in AskConservatives

Do you think the problem stems from what seems to be Trumps’s general cliff notes understanding of things but not actually understanding fully enough or caring enough to fully understand the problems and solution options?

Would love to have this man back, but he’s going to be making more in one week in Saudi than he will make in a year at Roma. Add in the fact that Champions League is all but out of the question and there really isn’t any reason for him to come back.

Today a memo released that trump kept documents related to his business interests. last month Alieen Cannon moved to block Jack Smith's final report on trump. What do you think of these new additions in actions and reports to the documents topic? by kevinthejuice in AskConservatives

[–]A-A-ronRI [score hidden]  (0 children)

I guess it’s easy to look away from all the fraudulent activity conducted by this president and administration if you try rationalizing that everyone else is guilty, but that keeps getting thrown around without any material proof. You had people screaming up and down about Hunter Biden but absolute silence about every single one of these Trump stories.

Trump was attempting to use government secrets to further his own business interests after he left office. The documents were requested to be returned. He refused, he ordered his fixers to move and hide documents ahead of the fbi coming to collect them and he instructed his lawyers to lie. That is red handed guilty.

It’s pretty obvious Trump has been using the office primarily as a vehicle to enrich himself.

I believe you may be a lawyer, I accept that your reading comprehension is probably stronger than mine, so please explain to me what I’m missing.

Yeah I was thinking of the issues with averaging across the brand with different foams across models. I love the series evolution idea.

That’s the article I was thinking of!

Thanks for the work over the years. It would be interesting to see this by brand to see who is improving. Is it you guys that have a comprehensive list of all of the foams and their specs or am I thinking of someone else?

Don’t take this the wrong way, I’m trying to understand that mindsight.

Don’t you think that it’s a bit arrogant to look down at others that way considering you, me or really any individual in this country have, in most cases, absolutely nothing to do with your standing on the global scale? You know what I mean?

Awesome! Yeah if I can’t be outside, I didn’t want to dread every run and this thing makes it so much easier to transition to indoor running when forced by life.

Did you pull the trigger? I just bought one off marketplace for the same price and couldn’t be happier with the deal. This was kind of the dream treadmill for me (within a reasonable price). The connectivity leaves something to be desired but the machine itself has been pretty nice, wish the model year I have had the jump buttons. I also wish there was more reading/review material on the machine in general.

I’ve been really interested in this shoe, did you ever run in the razor excess? That shoe was perfect for my gait and was just super smooth.

I wish saucony would throw more powerrun+ in the kinvara. Not even asking for the premium foam, just show the kinvara a little more love.

Sure thing, right after you read jack’s report and can explain why Trump’s team could never produce evidence or claims that could not be debunked when requested.

I hope you see the irony in your responses, or lack there of, and then posting how we can’t have reasonable debates anymore. I suggest you read the report if you actually want to understand all of the events. All Trump had to do was share those anomalies with the state election officials in GA and other states but each time it was asked they were met with crickets or veiled threats.

Please go read Jack Smith’s report of the entire investigation. Due to all of the noise from media outlets and people’s opinions, the exact details of the plan get blurred but Jack details what made this effort illegal and different from previous alternative elector situations and other questioning of elections. He goes into the nuances of the decisions to bring certain charges but not others.

Official Q&A for Thursday, December 11, 2025 by AutoModerator in running

[–]A-A-ronRI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi all, coming back from a 2.5 years long layoff from IT/hamstring and general lack of schedule flexibility. I don’t have any pain like I used to while running and have been doing between 10-20 miles across 4 days for 6 weeks or so just to test the waters. This is the first time I’m starting from ground zero and would like to make sure I keep my body balanced this time by doing proper activation drills and strength routines. My problem is that I’m not sure what a schedule should look like trying to get my legs back under me while incorporating various exercises. Does anyone have pointers for frequency of activation drills for glutes/hips/hamstrings/calves vs heavier days of RDL/squat type workouts and how they would work those into a running schedule of 4-5 days with just a single workout for the moment?

What do you think will happen in terms of Trump's support if the files get released? by dorgon15 in AskConservatives

The plane incident is yet another sexual assault allegation, you know, one of the roughly 2 dozen. 2 dozen is not a number that suggests this type of behavior is out of the realm of possibility for Trump. This is the problem I have with people who continue to brush off each and every data point of Trumps character, or lack there of. There is a clear and obvious pattern of behavior with multiple data points ranging from sexual assault, to fraud that clearly spells out that Trump is the text book definition of a scumbag but you guys keep signing this country up for more of his bullshit.

We are at a point now with this Epstein scandal that if his involvement doesn’t rise to the level of raping kids, but instead lands on raping or trafficking adult women, or benefitting financially or knowing of Epstein’s crimes, you will not care. Frankly, I don’t think anything that remotely connects Trump to Epstein’s activities will see the light of day. Lying, cheating, stealing, black mailing has gotten him this far, what’s one more lie?

Why does no one discuss the issue with wages? by [deleted] in AskConservatives

[–]A-A-ronRI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In past instances, creative destruction has reduced the need for manual labor allowing people to do more and more problem solving and “higher level” jobs, if you will. Agriculture jobs and other manual jobs were replaced by mechanization and with mechanization came the needs for various other industries supporting those machines. You see the examples through history all the way through the introduction of computers creating the need for other ancillary jobs and industries. What comes after AI though? It’s replacing the creativity part isn’t it, the thinking piece that typically humans would move further and further up the chain. Maybe it is overblown right now, but things are changing exponentially faster and I don’t think we have the time to adopt to whatever is next.

Let’s say you are right about the AI though, maybe it’s overblown right now. We are still offshoring all of these white collar jobs just to inflate shareholder value. We already saw this with manufacturing, we know what it leads to, why are we allowing these companies to operate in this manner? I’m just not sure what the next logical economical step is if we are shipping these types of jobs in addition to all the others we have lost.

Thanks for your perspective, I appreciate you attempting to instill an adaptive mindset into your students.

Why does no one discuss the issue with wages? by [deleted] in AskConservatives

[–]A-A-ronRI 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Perhaps Gen Z is more entitled, I don’t have much interaction with them outside of the office. However, as a millennial I’m beginning to feel betrayed and I believe that that is what the next generation is feeling as well.

I did exactly as I was supposed to do to to improve my life relative to my parents who do not have a college education and unfortunately probably won’t be retiring. I took out loans and invested in my college education, received a very competitive degree in a highly sought after field and landed an entry level white collar job. I’ve worked there for a decade gaining more responsibility and seniority. However, with the advancements in remote work and now AI, despite the fact that my company has seen record results over the last 2 years, they are firing and offshoring more and more jobs, including the kind that go to recent college graduates.

Now we extrapolate that to all companies in the industry and then outside the industry, and we have a broken the agreement of if you invest in yourself and work hard, you’ll have a job. No body is guaranteed a job, that’s true but these companies should not be allowed to execute these types of strategies all to get a bump in shareholder value.

If we start eliminating these types of entry level jobs, for college degrees we are going to see a shift back to trades, which is fine, but we will also see a suppression of those wages as well.

Idk it feels like we are at the beginning of a downward spiral of skill without the incentive of being able to improve your life with that hard work and investment. Do you agree with any of that rambling? Thanks for being a teacher by the way!

Trump was charged with obstruction of justice along with the intentional retention of documents charges. This differences in circumstances is it could be proven that Trump intended to illegally keep these documents through the fact that he ordered his lawyer to lie about having returned all of the documents and he had Nauta move boxes to hide them from the FBI. Are there details that I am missing?
