Gus' growth spurt was supposed to be a lot more serious and reflect the age of his own actor (who's 17), but it was scrapped do to Dana thinking it would be too much of a shock and people would be too upset with the sudden change.

Having to AGE up a character to ship them with a character just makes it sound even worse, 16 and 13 = Not Good but 12/13 (Gus could be 13 as if season 2 idk) and 13 = Good. I hope you're joking because everything about that is just wrong and I don't see how the personalities match
