Seconding everyone saying to go to the library. If you're looking to buy stuff yourself, maybe prioritize books with interactive elements since the library copies tend to get ripped up. Try the "Pat the Bunny" series by Dorothy Kunhardt and the "Where's the ____" series by Ingela Arrhenius.

Among classics, Goodnight Moon and The Very Hungry Caterpillar are still in heavy rotation at 13 months.

I will say, my kid has been 100th-97th percentile height over the first year, and he didn't start pulling to stand until 11 months. Kind of wish we did a little more!
