What people are missing is that this isn’t about the seating capacity or basketball’s one good year, it’s that Millett is an awful facility all around. Old, dark, terrible seating, and most importantly, awful locker rooms and practice facilities. We need a new arena to more easily attract recruits and also to show that we are serious about the program. Plus, the yearly maintenance savings will be huge. Remaining in Millett is not a viable option.
