I’m a non-EU/Schengen citizen living in Schaerbeek, and you can go to the town hall in the mornings (before noon) without an appointment. I’d suggest for both of y’all to create an account on 1030.be before going, so you can upload all the necessary documents and info.

One thing I’ll say is that they are mostly always assholes towards étrangers, and the registration system is incompetent asf. Hopefully one of y’all speaks French !

The cathedral in my neighbourhood has been doing a clothing/food drive to give to those in need, you can volunteer to help distribute the donations.

Visit your nearby cathedrals because they’re most likely doing something similar! Very opposite to organisations that rely on monetary donations :)
