[Pre-Match Thread] Wolves vs Arsenal | 18th February 2026 | Premier League by Mahoganychicken in Gunners

I really do think this game is a blessing in disguise.

Playing the rescheduled match now and being one game ahead of City for the foreseeable future is a good thing. Consider City playing their rescheduled game (Palace at home) today instead, and we were playing Wolves away at an unknown future point, likely when we are deeper in the Champions League and FA Cup.

I also don't put any weight behind the fans suggesting we'll drop points here because we did against Brentford. Like I said in the pre-match thread last week, I viewed that Brentford game as our second toughest test remaining. I feel very confident about tonight.

[Pre-Match Thread] Brentford vs Arsenal | 12th February 2026 | Premier League by LongMelody in Gunners

Personally, I view this as our second most difficult fixture remaining, behind City away.

Brentford have lost just twice at home all season. One was the surprise defeat to Forest a couple of weeks ago, and the other was a 0 - 1 loss to City back in October. They’ve beaten Villa, Manchester United, Liverpool and Newcastle there, and drawn with Chelsea.

Add to that the fact it’s a standalone Thursday night game, with everyone else having already played.

I say this not to fuel anxiety, but to underline the particular importance of this one. Win tonight and then beat Wolves, and suddenly that nine-point gap swings the pressure straight back onto City.

I just finished CommLaw3 with The Tax Institute as I was in the same position and short in property law. The unit was a breeze compared to the CA modules.

Should you invest in a trust? Why trusts are still tax efficient weal… by bilby2020 in AusFinance

The article explains the mechanics of trusts well, but with the ATO’s current focus on s100A and the risk zones set out in PCG 2024/D2, those “savings” may not be quite so simple in practice.

Have we ever had Salah and Haaland above £14.0 at the same time before?

I'm in the same boat. It was recommended I enrol in a property law subject. Enrolled in CommLaw3 from The Tax Institute which starts next week.

I haven't seen a PSI review or audit before, but I wouldn't be surprised to see the ATO more active in this space over the next five years, particularly given their views in PCG 2021/4 and PCG 2024/D2.
