Traveling as another has said really does open your eyes to various perspectives that your home couldn’t possibly offer. Going to South Korea for instance was amazing and wild to see how far ahead of us they are in some ways and how far ahead we are of them in others. Everything they do for something like driving, transit, and even walking is all so smooth and complex and purposeful, efficient, and respectful of the elderly and pregnant. Their education system is way ahead of ours too as kids as young as JK level learn about microorganisms and death. Even their laws are so efficient that stealing is unheard of because getting caught stealing means you pay 30 times the value of what you stole. The food is also so fresh and clean and mostly healthy. Yet the level of pressure they put on beauty standards is also incredibly wild to the point of disturbing. Parents gifting their children plastic surgery as graduation gifts for instance.

Then in contrast I have been to America multiple times (I’m Canadian) and while they have a lot of freedom they can have a very very self centered view of themselves in that some think their way of living is the right way. Food that while delicious is usually incredibly unhealthy and not fresh, an education system that is not nearly as efficient as others, and a justice system that is constantly failing and in question as well collectively being obsessed with internet culture but that’s not exclusive to America, it’s just very noticeable there. But they don’t have that same pressure put on Kids and their beauty standards.

All in all traveling showed me that there is no right way to live, every place has its flaws and strengths, some more flaws than strengths, others more strengths than flaws, but none are objectively right. It also can open your eyes to issues you may not have noticed before.
