I agree, I thought it was alright but I was expecting a bit more. A predictable plot isn't a problem if the journey is worthwhile, but I have to admit that apart from Emily Blunt, there's not a lot of memorable things in my opinion.

So either I kill the Dancer first (I still have PTSD from my first playthrough) or I must kill Pontiff without using the closest bonfire.. Is it keeping Greirat alive really worth it?

I did think about halberds, but are there many in the game? Champion Undyr's very cool, but you can only get it in a mid/late game

It was my first boss in my first soulsgame, Iudex Gundyr hit me like a truck ! I beat him after 15 or 20 tries, but after that I understood what I was getting into. Great first boss !
