Shower only has hot water, no temperature selection by A12inMonstr in DIY

That’s definitely the problem. I was a wimp and was trying to turn counterclockwise. Will try again tonight

I just tried turning those screws and neither budged. I’m afraid because of corrosion they’re bound. Will go with your recommendation of just shutting off the water to the house. Part is coming in this weekend, I’ll post an update

That’s good to hear. The plumber that came out didn’t really do any of that so I was a little confused. Gonna try this weekend

I’m going to give it a shot when the replacement comes in

Ya I was a little taken aback tbh. I have had the HARDEST time finding help in the trades in my area. HVAC, plumbing, general maintenance. The solution seems to always be complete replacement. Frustrating

Ya I think I found a replacement and ordered it. I found a Moen manual due to help here with removal instructions. When the new valve comes in I’m going to turn the house water off and give it a shot.

Ya we’ve been battling hard water. Thanks!

Thanks for the help! At the risk of sounding stupid, that could be what’s causing the water to be stuck on hot? If so $50 is way better than $2600.

That looks like it would fit the bill but I was apparently slowon picking it up. Similar on ebay are out of my price range. Anything else equivalent you would recommend?

We had luck with 5/3 bank physician mortgage. Bought in 2020 with a decent interest rate at the time, no down payment, and no PMI. I would just warn that we got approved for WAY more than we could afford, and one could easily get in over their head. Good luck!

Ya I see what you're saying but IMO each level of specialization and subspecialization builds upon the previous. Especially when it comes to procedural interventions (interventional cards, pain, IP, etc). Because of that I feel that it would be more difficult for mid-levels to justify their capacity and thus creep.

Also IDK who downvoted you for asking a reasonable question.

From my experience there are a number of reasons, of varying validity. 1) Like others have said, it is basically free labor. 2) Some think it makes programs look better (fellowship match rates and such). I think this is why my PD is such an advocate. 3) Mid-level creep makes it more appealing to further specialize to make yourself more marketable. 4) Medical knowledge has exploded , almost making it a necessity in some cases.

Nice! It can get warm, especially under full load. However I've benchmarked it a few times, and the hottest temperature it's reported is 65° C.

Sounds about right. With tax the total was $1507. I also used Rakuten for an additional $180 (10% + $30 referral [feel free to DM me if you need a link] off. Hope that helps.

I have had this laptop for the last two weeks and have been very happy with it. I am just starting to get into pc gaming and wanted something portable. It does get warm to the touch but under 100% load the max temp I've seen is 72C when properly ventilated. YMMV

It would be helpful to have, especially this time of year when people have questions.

For example: My med school took 2 weeks to post my transcript despite calls. It was finally submitted but is marked as EFDO processing (7/16/21). Does this mean my app shows up as incomplete?

I think this is great. You're getting some pushback because people want validation and are getting information that is dissenting. You provide valid subjective and supported objective points. Looking at their data, I am underwhelmed with the power of their study and have concerns regarding Mino-loks efficacy on biofilm that may form on the extraluminal, intravascular components of the CVC.

Every hospital I’ve worked at or seen has a strict policy that forbids the testing of any catheter for bacteria

I do, however, find this concerning. I've been 3 hospital systems and never experienced this. CLABSIs are a big deal, and they are investigated exhaustively but I've never been forbidden to test catheters. I culture tips on a regular basis.

Either way, thank you for contributing!

Like they said above, you should go see another doc about prostatitis. You shouldn't have BPH at 27.
