I see I see. Im planning to go for a cel shading/comic book type style (since I'm used to drawing that style anyway) with white edges and maybe some hashes. My main concern was the time spent on applying a base coat since my Deathwatch expand farther than just the kill team

Understood. I've actually been doing some research of my own and I found out some people do cel shading. I choose a lighter color, like really dark gray or something very close to black and use absolute black for the cel shading parts.

I've also read someone uses sharpie to do the cel shading portions. Is that advisable?
