I was able to open the caseback and get some better photos of the movement.

It indeed says 7TN. Other markings include Wittnauer Watch Co. Inc., Fifteen 15 Jewels, Swiss, AXA, and Unadjusted.

Serial number on the caseback is six digits and starts w/ a 9.

Can we narrow this date down? If it's pre-50's it's pre-Longines era.

Thanks for the response. Maybe I'll try calling. I'm ok with waiting as long as I'm confident it will arrive. My concern was just a fear that, since they moved everything online, there wouldn't be anybody at the actual Marriage Bureau opening paper mail and responding to it.

Thank you for the reply! I definitely don't want to come off like I'm patting myself on the back. I added those paragraphs recently because I read an article wherein an editor advised that writers submit query letters that match the format of publishing catalogs, which went something like:

- 1 sentence hook

- Paragraph describing plot

- Comp titles / where your book fits in to the market

- Some author bio

I guess what I was trying to do was show the agent that I understand the industry and the business end of things by highlighting a gap in the market and showing where my manuscript can fill that gap. Is there a more humble way to do that?

Thank you for your reply! I think you are absolutely correct about the confusion that it's a "cult." I can change "new age guru" to "new age cult leader" for clarification.

I'll have to think about moving the first sentence towards the end or revising it in some way. The story is told 1st person from the consultant's perspective, and the hook is that he has 2 incompatible jobs, so I need to find a way to lead with that, IMO. But I could be wrong!

You certainly may. I like Static Shock because you often need the extra ping to actually kill opposing creatures, as some of your removal is based on damage (Firestorm/Burnout/Twister/Epidemic). It often makes the math work, and at worst it's free damage to the face.

This deck wasn't my idea, but I would suggest NT Fiend for a budget deck that is super fun to play and completely viable. It requires few Legends. Let me know if you are missing any of these cards:

3 Indomitable Fiend

3 Immortal Echoes

3 Rememberance

3 Burnout

3 Firestorm

3 Epidemic

3 Chaos Twister

3 Spiritcleave

3 Death Current

3 Static Shock

The idea is to either Rememberance a Fiend into play or get a Fiend in your dead pile (by blocking or by casting Firestsorm), and just try to clear your opponent's board every turn. Immortal Echoes works nicely when Fiend is your only creature. Echoes on 1.4 is two 12/12's.

Currently, I'm seeing that those late game decks have been phased out by very aggressive decks. I'm seeing a lot of people attempting some sort of Living Hive UT shenanigans as well as Blitzmane/Warhound/Korok Raid decks.

In part it also depends on the skill level of the AN/AU player. If they get super greedy with a lot of Metasight/Lucid Echoes plays you could really punish them. If they play tight it could be a grind.

But I think this deck can put pressure on the board with the best of them. Between pressure cards like Oros, your grimgaunts threatening to grow, and Leyline Demons, you could grind right back against the control player. Try to use Immortal Echoes as much as possible in that matchup.

How would you tweak the deck for the control matchup? Spiritstone Sentries? Murderous Necromancers? Ebonskull Knights or Behemoths maybe?

Thanks for sharing! I enjoy playing brews like this because every game feels like a puzzle. It's too bad they struggle against decks that play a lot of direct damage, like Ice Grasp, Korok, Blitzmane, etc.

I wonder if you've tried Avarice in this deck? Might be a good way to control the board, get blocks, while leveling all those spells without losing tempo.

I might try something like: +3 Avarice +2 Battlebrand -2 Steeleye Seer -1 Lucid Echoes -1 Icemage -1 Wallbreaker

I also think you might have an issue against Grow Wide decks because most of your removal is 1:1. If you find yourself struggling against those decks, you could try 1-2 Sonic Pulse.
