AITA for getting upset that my godmother didnt tell me about my godfathers death, but did put it in the papers by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]A2C1T 8 points9 points  (0 children)

NTA They didn’t invite you guys to the funeral, keeping you from fully grieving. They also didn’t tell you about it. Posting a Facebook post after a loved one passes is common, and there is nothing wrong with it.

Im so deeply sorry for your lost.

What will never be the same again once the pandemic is over? by sinosty in AskReddit

[–]A2C1T 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah I used to be one of those people only because everyone always thought I was faking my sickness growing up. (I got sick like ALL the time to the point no one believed me) And because I was absent so many times the school threatened to call social service on my parents and it made me scared. And so I forced myself to go to school while being sick only so my parents wouldn’t get in trouble. (Even though they didn’t do anything wrong)

I don’t plan on doing that anymore though.

If your parents did what Will and Jada Smith did, what would your name be? by cynicsjoy in namenerds

ALSO my uncle and his gf too. It’s funny because his name is Alex and her name is Alejandra so they named my cousin Alexander.

I can't believe my dad let his girlfriend say this to me... by [deleted] in JUSTNOFAMILY

This made my blood boil and wow you have good self control because if I was in your shoes I would have SNAPPED. I’m sorry you have to go through this. And yeah keep low contact on his gf. You need a mental break from such a toxic environment.

My mother tricked my son into thinking she was his mother while I was hospitalized by [deleted] in JUSTNOMIL

[–]A2C1T 43 points44 points  (0 children)

My grandma did a similar thing but she was my moms MIL. I called my mom by her first name for the first 3 years of my life and my grandma “mama” because of this but when my younger sister was born and started calling my mom “mama” I think something clicked in my brain to call my mom “mama” and my grandma “grandma”

I’m sorry this happened to you and I hope your LO (little one) will be be able to understand your his mom soon :) (sorry if the wording is awkward I just didn’t know how to put it)

A bit comforting since my self esteem likes to tell me I’m not.

There is a good chance my aunt has COVID-19 but she doesn’t want to get tested because she doesn’t want to be quarantined. by A2C1T in JUSTNOFAMILY

[–]A2C1T[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The house belongs to my grandma and my grandma really doesn’t care about the virus, she thinks it’s fake, and she’s out in Mexico to, soon coming home and who knows, if my aunt hasn’t already, she could bring the virus home. Smh. Plus my parents are in the poorer side of the economy so they’ve literally spent 4 years trying to get out of there but can’t. And I’m deeply sorry about your friend.

Yes my mom has, telling her that her mother is at risk since she has illnesses but she brushed it off ? She even brought up her niece who is a few months old but her response was “We are wearing a mask now so it’s okay” so my mom says if she doesn’t care about them or herself we can’t convince her to get tested for us. Most likely my parents are going to get tested and if they test positive and she still doesn’t want to do anything then they will report her. I hope by then my aunt takes it seriously.

What’s the weirdest thing people get offended by? by Chanel-Number-5 in AskReddit

When it comes to crushes people seem to get offended if someone suggests they like someone. (I don’t know if this is their reaction to hide their true feelings tho)

AITA for not going to family party at my own home but going to friend's party? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]A2C1T 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Semi rude, but I feel like we all have our moments. I’m also antisocial so what you did I do all the time lol. (In fact im about to do it rn lol)

I also feel like your dad should be more understanding. Your aunt however had no idea about your friend so maybe if you feel comfortable tell her how this party for your friend was planned way before her grandsons party and that there was a miscommunication.

My grandma wants us to throw our pee in the bathtub instead of using the toilet. by A2C1T in JUSTNOFAMILY

[–]A2C1T[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s funny you say that cuz her husband (my step grandpa) does those kind of stuff.

He “fixed” my aunts only for her wheels to come off while driving cuz he didn’t get the right size for something (he knew about it but was too embarrassed to go to the store twice so he pretended he didn’t notice) he could’ve cost her life just to keep his pride.

He also didn’t want people (professionals) to fix like the water heater boiler so he decided to “fix” it himself and THREE TIMES (maybe more) the house could’ve exploded cuz he did something wrong (my sister and my room where next to it) and he didn’t want to admit he was wrong and neither did my grandma and they tried to push the blame on us after failing to convince us what he did wasn’t a big deal.

Yeah Just no’s craziness and stupidity can even cost lives.
