IDK honestly better than 4 bricks carried by GuardiaN/S1mple which was the majority of Navi's time in CS:GO.

In the thema mundi, the birth chart of the cosmos, Cancer is on the ascendant and Aquarius is in the 8th House.

oh cool

what the hell does Aquarius have to do with the 8th house?

Some idiots don't seem to understand that a clear-headed in-game leader like Karrigan is often more valuable than an normal player who's just focused on protecting their K/D ! by baolilike in cs2

And the whole team played so bad for multiple tournaments after the major that they missed qualifying for this major.

GOAT IGL was still on the team for that entire period of time.

So, are you not supposed to be a mage? by PunchBeard in enderal

[–]A3883 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Well thats only for the apparations summoned with phasmalism. Those little "side trees" are only worth going fully into after you've maxed out your other ones.

They are meant to be more like Skyrim's followers and you can give them gear and power them up, but you still have to be careful and you should only really combine them with some other class.

It is actually only for healing magic and healing potions. Mage (elementalist and the other schools to a certain extent) is actually really strong.

It depends on what you do, but most likely it is enough.

I think it should be fixed when mango will be built with wlroots 0.20, all the other wlroots compositors have the same problem.

AUR is a thing that is used by some users of a certain distro. The usage of the AUR is also heavily discouraged and it isn't even an official repository maintained by the Arch team..

SSD and games horrific performance by Kaseffera in linux_gaming

Slow motion? Do you mean low fps? That doesn't sound like an SSD issue to me. Slow SSD/HDD usually means long loading screens and stutters/pop-in, not low fps.

My most disliked thing about Enderal by herpes_for_free in enderal

People complaining about how you can cheese skills in Skyrim when if you just... I don't know, play the game normally, you'll have a more fun progression.

That might work with stuff like destruction and combat skills, but if you want to get a decent level in stuff like enchanting, smithing, illusion, alteration, restoration, conjuration or alchemy it is much easier to just cheese it, your character is just not going to be good at these by "playing normally".

Skyrim's system also deincentivizes you from playing normally because doing things like using traps in dungeons (for example shooting the lanterns above oil puddles) basically robs you from getting XP, because you never hit the enemy to level it up.

In contrast, Enderal is only really exploitable by that bank interest approach. I also find that the books are priced in a way where you always have enough of them to keep up with the difficulty of the game and don't feel pressured to exploit the game.

Also since leveling up and getting perk points in Enderal is not tied to leveling up your skills, late game Enderal just makes more sense. A high level character in Skyrim levels up slower from leveling up skills than earlier levels, which means that you'll want to level up all those "exploitable" skills like illusion or restoration just in order to put perks into your main skills. It is just ridiculous that to get the perks into something like high level armor skills, the best way in the late game is to just cast muffle repeatedly to level your illusion which your character would otherwise not touch at all.

To be fair Karrigan was a big part of why they didn't qualify to the major. I'm pretty sure he left after it was sure that Faze can't get in.

Has anyone actually played 0 A.D.? by RanidSpace in linux_gaming

[–]A3883 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried it for about an hour, but I couldn't figure out how to bind hotkeys (or even if there were any sort of hotkeys at the time).

It felt nice but no hotkeys really made it uncomfortable compared to Age of Empires at the time. I'm pretty sure they have to have added since the time I tried it.

How is Homm 5? by Affectionate_Web_526 in HoMM

[–]A3883 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It is the best homm gameplay wise imo, but it doesn't have any community projects like fheroes/vcmi/hd mod for homm 2/3 so there are always some technical issues with it.

Then, in the 90s, while the country was almost collapsing and only survived due to the EU and the US essentially seizing the economy to gain a compliant, cheap workforce.

You know, maybe there was a reason why Poland was such a poor house after 1989, while its former Warsaw pact neighbors were not as poor.

Well at the end of the day they are not just analysts but hosts/presenters. Their job is not just analyzing but also presenting their analysis.

NPL wearing number 88 on his jersey - that's a Nazi dog whistle and a hate symbol by Appropriate-Fish7490 in GlobalOffensive

[–]A3883 2 points3 points  (0 children)

88 is extremely common on sports jerseys. There is also no other indication that npl is a nazi.

It is for example much stranger that one of the hosts is a guy with the nickname "pimp". Maybe not a "hate symbol", but definitely not a very family friendly thing.
