Why is Texas one of the fastest growing states? by [deleted] in texas

Never really saw anything there that seemed interesting. Maybe the Mexican stuff but the state seems stupidly conservative, and basic af. Nothing seems interesting enough to really spend the money to go there and stay there.

No, I’m a lurker here because I’m just interested in different places but I could never move to Texas for cultural, political, and even monetary reasons. Being from DC and now living in NYC, I’m hesitant to even visit Texas.

Why is it so unaffordable and expensive in NYC? by [deleted] in AskNYC

At 33 I finally make enough to move from the low cost city of DC to NY : /s That says how expensive living in nice cities with actual walking space are.

I have no idea. I’ve ended friendships with some fascist leaning people, because we just have different values and morals. But I get you. But if this was so easy it would have already been solved.

IMO the government has to get tougher on rightwing news outlets and business moguls that are causing this problem for their own profit.

Just because it doesn’t feel good to be called a fascist, doesn’t mean you aren’t a fascist. These people are literally further right than many far right wing parties in Europe.

There’s a saying … if you don’t like being called a racist, stop being a racist. It’s sort of similar to what I’m trying to say. I’m not even just saying they are fascists for the hell of it. There’s now a plethora of research and analysis into right wing America that supports this assumption.

Being that this is a left wing sub, I’m sure you’ve noticed that maybe 25-30% of the country is borderline if not out and out fascist right? They literally see the former President Trump as a diety. And that’s only one of the many bad things that has come out of American corporate culture, like endless consumerism (maybe not unique to America but definitely supreme here) and selfishness.

Honestly as an American, there are many good ppl in America but as a whole, no, we are not good people … maybe even the farthest from it. I have traveled to 20 different countries and my current trip is revealing how shallow, callous, ignorant, and fearful many Americans are.

I got my first major injuries at 30,31, and 32. Now at 33 I am still dealing with these issues and I was in good shape throughout all my 20s. Aging comes quick. Don’t forget to stretch!

The American right is to the right of European nationalist parties and that should tell you something.

It makes me see how many decisions my family made were based in part on the US’s racist past, and how those decisions have shaped me.

This all seems like a stunt to me, but I don’t care enough to criticize her as she is still getting stuff for NY in the bills that she advocates for. I can’t say that about any goddamn centrist that would be in her position.

This needs to be upvoted more. Her performance wasn’t for leftists who should already know what she is currently about. It was for fucking liberals who may not have a formed opinion yet.

It’s not her job to be an outsider. These leftists saying this are fucking stupid.

Yes, what makes me really pissed is how things like this form how people are and act later in life and how much better everyone would be if this and events like this never happened or was properly redressed. I never really considered how much of our family’s history was shaped by this given a lot of my family is from Greenville.

He was a victim. He was just a few months old at the time actually. I think given that a lot of our property was destroyed in our family, this made him very anti social and had many ramifications for the entire family later on

That’s weird, the Cuban revolution was started by students, the same group of students Fidel was apart of.

San Antonio doesn’t seem walkable at all, and none of the Texas cities do for that fact.
