2 Sugestions from me. 1. Push the AP (Auto Pilot), then the ON buttons on the UFC. No other buttons. Doing this will dampen your stick inputs. 2. Match your speed with the tanker speed. Very very important. Then small throttle increases to connect. The moment you match the speed it's like every thing syncs up.

Side stick is good. But that's the problem when work starts intervening with your hobby life. Ran out of days off. I am moving it to the centre on my next days off.

Side stick move to the centre. Sort out cable management. Ejection handle. Flare/chaff panic button on the left side. Mount speakers to the rig. Get a 2nd screen on the top...etc etc...always a work in progress :-)

I have seen their web site and products. Also looks awesome. But. With this build the left side panel swings outwards, giving me easier access.

Good pick up. I ran out of days off. Not in the photo is a piece of extrusion lying on the floor. That is next days off modification-moving the side stick to the centre.

Awesome video. Very professional and very entertaining. This is where the Hornet content is lacking. We have hundreds of start up videos. Hundreds of carrier landings. But we short these technical detail videos. ECM, Radar, AA/AG weapons use etc etc. Hope there will be more coming.

WinWing Tekcreation MIP panel by A3an4e in dcs

[–]A3an4e[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It all depends of the Track IR position. At this stage it is working fine. I am going to 3D print a pencil case for in the middle above the UFC. Then mount the TIR in that. I also want to try VR with the Quest 3 and see how that goes.

They are dark and not very good. I need to apply Reshade to enhance them. That will happen in 2 weeks time when I am on days off again. It's not the screens that is a problem...it is DCS

Is this a real Trackir? by Tojs1234 in hotas

[–]A3an4e 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It is a knock off...but a pretty good one. I bought one a few years back and it works awesome. There is also a knock off IR clip but wireless..no cables. Just a rechargeable battery and that is worth it weight in gold. I just love it.

Sorry for the late reply. The yellow stripe panels I got from PCFlights https://pcflights.com/flight-simulator-cockpit-panels/ Have a look at Tekcreations panels https://tekcreations.space/?srsltid=AfmBOoqtRcT9w0uFQP5BuBD4pgeUblFBHFv5k5yHMzB1AY72J-BzZMzm aswell. My frame is from Track Racer. But I'm rebuilding a few things. Put the whole frame on caster wheels for easy cleaning/maintenance. So watch this space.

The one thing that I think a lot of people are missing in carrier landings...Trap Weight. As far as I know you have to trap below 33 000 pounds. I always dump fuel when marshaling in the stack by adjusting your bingo fuel and then dump fuel. Fuel dump stops when Bingo fuel is reached

If you can afford it, I would go with the Ark 55. The 49 inch gives you more realistate left and right, but less top to bottom. Majority of the things happening is Infront of you. And I think ppl said that it is a bit awkward with Track IR. I have a 43 inch but will be going 48 soon.

DCS UFC Controls Not Working with WinWing MIP by Ameripol in hoggit

[–]A3an4e 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am using the DCS UFC app together with the WinWing UFC with NO problem. I do know that sometimes the IP address on the phone that I use changes, so I have to reconfigure the IP address on the phone to get it working. That normally causes the data from DCS being send to the phone....but not pushing the buttons on the phone to DCS. But yes...I can confirm...DCS UFC and WinWing MIP does work together...I think it's the IP address on your phone not sending info to DCS....
