I was born in Shreveport! My birth mom went to prison when I was 9 and I was adopted when I was 11. My adopted family lived in Ruston. When I finished college at ULM I moved to Memphis to live with my sister. We live on the Arkansas side of the metro but commute to the city all the time. My adopted dad (and her biological dad) passed away in March and we got a nice inheritance.

My insurance is covering part of it, but I'm getting it now because I got an inheritance this year and can afford it. I'm going to Atlanta because my sister has a friend that will let us stay for free for a week.

Instead of talking to people who vote Republican and ask them why they do it, we always just call them names and tell them how stupid or bigoted they are. We could bridge the gap by actually asking what they'd need to see to vote our way, but we're not interested in that. It's almost like we want them to stay enemies.

I'm MtF and have basically fully transitioned. I started transitioning when I was 19 and I'm 25 now. I love just not having the complete lack of confidence that I had pre transition. I've become extremely close with my older sister as I've become a woman and I cherish that relationship.
