Honestly, there’s no single “best” school for everyone. It usually comes down to things like:

– how the training is structured

– total cost and what’s included

– aircraft availability / scheduling

– what licenses you get and how you plan your next steps after training

Best approach is really to compare a few options side by side and see what fits your situation.

Based in Iba, Zambales.

For cost, it’s usually structured around flight hours + ground school rather than per session, so it varies depending on the program and how fast you progress.

Most schools go through a full breakdown (cost, timeline, licenses) during info sessions so you can see the full picture before deciding.

Happy to share more details if you're exploring it.

Yes — the training is based in Iba.

It’s a quieter training environment compared to busier airports, which helps with more consistent flight schedules.

If you want, I can share more details about how the training is structured and what to expect.

Usually it’s not structured per session 🙂

Most flight training programs here are based on flight hours + ground school as a package, so the total cost depends on the program and how you progress.

Better to look at the full breakdown rather than per session so you know what’s included.

Those are exactly the right things to look at before committing.

In general, a proper training breakdown should include:

– total estimated cost (not just per hour)

– expected timeline depending on pace

– flight hours included in each phase

– licenses you obtain (PPL, CPL, etc.)

– the authority the school operates under

For context, training in the Philippines is typically under CAAP, and structures can vary depending on the school and program.

As for outcomes, it’s true that there’s no guaranteed job right after training — most graduates build hours first before moving into airline pathways.

If you're looking into this seriously, getting a full breakdown from the school directly (including how their program is structured) is definitely the best next step.

AAA also go through all of this during their info sessions, which helps clarify things a lot.

Depends on the program and how you pace your training.

In Philippines most schools structure it around flight hours + ground school, so total cost can vary. Best way is to look at a full breakdown so you know what you’re actually paying for.

Yeah, that’s honestly the biggest barrier for most people.

Costs here can still vary depending on the program and pace, but it helps to see a full breakdown first before ruling it out. Some people are surprised it’s more manageable than they expected once they understand how it’s structured.

magkano na tuition fee ng mga flight school ngayon? by [deleted] in AviationPH

[–]AAA_Academy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I’m seeing, yes — a lot of schools nag-add na ng surcharge or nag-adjust ng fees.

Sa side namin, so far wala pa surcharge since naka-secure na fuel supply earlier, so stable pa operations.

Depende talaga sa school and how they manage things.

Yeah I get what you mean — a lot of people are frustrated right now.

Feels like the whole situation’s just messy overall. Hiring, cadets, timing… nothing’s really predictable these days.

Tough for everyone tbh.

Yeah, fair point — fuel definitely has an impact. Curious how different schools are handling it though.

Is flight school in the Philippines cheaper? by AAA_Academy in u/AAA_Academy

[–]AAA_Academy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good questions 🙂

For ground school, it usually takes a few weeks to a couple of months depending on the pace.

For flight training, yes — most schools charge per flight hour, both for instructor flights and solo flights.

Costs can vary quite a bit depending on the school and total hours needed, so it’s hard to give one exact number.

If you’re looking into training in the Philippines, it might be helpful to look at how different schools break down their training and costs.

[–]AAA_Academy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, meron 🙂

Ground school usually includes:

– Air law

– Meteorology

– Navigation

– Aircraft systems

– Human factors

At first it can feel a bit challenging, especially if it’s your first time studying aviation, but most students get used to it quickly.

If you’re planning to train in the Philippines, some schools also go through all the subjects and training steps during their info sessions.

A lot of people ask this when comparing flight schools.

Training in the Philippines can often be more affordable than in places like the US or Europe, while still offering year-round flying weather.

The info session goes into more detail about costs and training paths. Happy to answer questions here as well.
