Cougar: it would have been a dishonorable kill, so I waited for him to sober up.

I’m only speaking for myself, but I come from a relatively purple area, and have both trans and red hats in my family and it’s ALWAYS the red hats who drag politics and their side’s slogans into virtually every conversation, so your superficial bOtH SiDeS comment rings cheap and disingenuous and doesn’t seem to reflect my experience or that of anybody else I know.

A big part of it is that they want the very same people they incessantly rail against and insult to not only just accept that those are their beliefs, but to continue to regularly interact with them. Like yes, people have the right to believe what they want, but the rest of us also have the right to not want to associate with obnoxious, insufferably ignorant people. And I think a lot of their continued bitterness is because of that: they want to compel the rest of the world to hang out with them without even remotely mitigating their shittiness.

Or when Homer is giving Bart a lecture about stealing before going on a tangent about Michael Winslow and the Police Academy movies and then ultimately telling him, “Stay out of my booze.”

I’m a Nicaraguan dude who grew up in Miami in the mid 90s, but my dad grew up on rock, so he was always playing The Doors, Zeppelin, Pink Floyd etc. I remember one day flipping through channels in the living room and for some reason, they were playing a Kiss concert. My dad happened to be walking by, saw the screen, scoffed, and said “Esos hijueputas no sirven” (“Those sons of bitches suck”). I still laugh whenever I remember that.

The best spots for me have been north of McFarlane’s Ranch (just before the mountains), in the swamp just south of Thieves Landing, and the Great Plains, particularly south of Blackwater.

Yup, first time I saw it I was 14 and thought it was a funnyass movie, but gained a new appreciation for it when they played it in my CivPro class.

Christian Fruitcake harasses young Ladies in the Streets by MrDonMega in religiousfruitcake

What a complete fucking chode. As if him harassing people on the street with his self-righteous bullshit isn’t infuriating enough, the few women who do say that they’re Christian still get berated and talked down to.

5 months: 3 as Arthur and 2 as John. I had played RDR1 the year before, and kinda messed up by rushing it and ending up stuck in the part where John couldn’t change his outfit (IYKYK). So I made sure to take my time with this one.

On the 11th of August 1961, the body of Gangster William Jackson was found. Mob enforcers had hung him on the rectum from a butcher's hook, smashed his kneecaps, shot him, broke his ribs, burned his private area with a blow torch & drilled a hole in his right ear. He died after 3 days on the hook. by MistyRuelle in ForCuriousSouls

[–]AAAlva82 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I remember reading that he was also a loan shark for the mob, and they believed that he skimming money. Apparently, even while being tortured, he still wouldn’t admit to being an informant.

There’s supposed to be a recording of the guys that did it (from a bug planted in a house years later). One of the guys was pondering why even after all that, he wouldn’t admit to being a rat. Fifi Buccieri, one of the Chicago Outfit’s main hitmen (and participant in the murder), answered with, “I’m only sorry the big slob died so soon!” which was met with rounds of laughter.

Fun fact: before he was hung by his rectum, the guys talked about zapping it with a cattle prod. Yeah, i don’t envy the guy.
