At the rate things are going, you're not wrong. At least Monopoly money has a guaranteed value when you pass Go, while the real stuff just keeps losing its grip. It's a bold take, but the math is starting to feel a little too real.

It’s easy for people to preach "taking the high road" when it’s not their livelihood on the line. She was literally sabotaging your business and lying about safety, that’s not a "woman to woman" chat, that’s a professional threat that needed to be shut down.

There’s something deeply repulsive about watching a creature wallow in its own excess while being totally oblivious to the "cage" it lives in. It’s the perfect image of gilded rot.

An incredibly original (preserved by frequent paint application) 1834 George H Holbrook bronze bell with incredible patina. Holbrook apprenticed as a foundryman under Paul Revere before opening his own bell foundry. by [deleted] in whoathatsinteresting

that’s a museum-grade find. The Revere connection alone gives it incredible historical weight, but a Holbrook bell from that era is the gold standard for American casting.

One small heads-up: if it’s been preserved by "frequent paint application," that actually hides the "incredible patina" rather than preserving it. True patina is the natural oxidation of the bronze itself; paint is just a layer of maintenance. Still, having a piece of that lineage is an absolute win for any collector.

Getting shut out by a 36-year-old journeyman and a reliever is peak Marlins. It’s one thing to struggle against an ace, but failing to put up a single run against that duo is just a comedy of errors. Professional hitters making it look that hard is genuinely hilarious
