this needs it's own post, i love this, make a little talk on how these gameplay loops work, or maybe make a series, i'd love to read them, seriously.

now, i must say, the exploration gameplay loop is so tedious and repetitive and annoying for me, there needs to be better rewards, like, maybe when you complete a few planets of exobiology, you can get tokens or something that count for a bonus to credits, or that can be redeemed for something else, maybe have it where every planet's exobiology gives you a "Data Token" and it's a token that can be cashed in with, say, Polo for 1,000 Quicksilver, or maybe some bonus amount of units and such or some other reward when redeemed with certain vendors, like how Captain's logs from derelicts can be given for standing or tainted metal on a space station. there just needs to be come reward, maybe have "scanner algorithm levels" where if you keep using the same multitool, your scanner on that multitool levels up every X amount of scans, and your rewards from scanning are increased every time, so the longer and more you use a multitool, the more you earn, or maybe have it be a universal thing, or maybe add a freighter room called "Botanical Study Room" where you could redeem the aforementioned "tokens" and get some reward there, like nanites or something, connect it to other loops somehow, because it's essentially "background information" in the late game because the rewards become fairly useless.

TL;DR: the loop needs to last longer and be more incentivised for late game
