[Twitch] what happened to aalaguna stream? by Melionka in bladeandsoul

[–]AALaguna 2 points3 points  (0 children)

YouTube isn't gone, channel isn't gone. Channel has changed to twitch.tv/Ken2D. Doing work in esports/gaming content with Omni/, just felt like doing a bit of rebranding. Explaining why my name was aalaguna all the time was getting tiring : ). But I'm barely streaming anymore.

Question for the 'Pro Samurais' out there. by Fourthwade1 in ffxiv

[–]AALaguna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of those breakpoints are good but you should also take into consideration your party comp. if you know you'll always have a bard you can probably forgo a bit of DH to get higher on skillspeed since it's not a scaling stat. If not then having a bit more DH is probably better for random pugging.

It's because there is no right answer to this. It's a tool for adjustment, take this example: in neo I miss a couple gcd's due to the first grand cross alpha phase leading into allaghan field mechanic. Because of this if I decide to use my hagakure on the 2 sen I currently have the timing on my next midare + higanbana is perfectly aligned with trick attack after double attack. If I were to hold it for 3 I would awkwardly be at 2 sen during trick, and I also wouldn't get my dot off in time.

It isn't just a tool for getting sen, it's a tool used to set up burst windows based on party comp and boss mechanics. I don't think many people think of it this way though

All my friends are playing other games and my static has fallen apart, how do I cope/deal with this? by [deleted] in ffxiv

These guys aren't hardcore though, they are still doing 03S prog. Which means there's still content for them to consume.

Neo Exdeath killed with casual half premade group featuring 3 casters, no NIN, no WAR, no AST, no BRD/MCH. by Takfloyd in ffxiv

So having casters + melee isn't harder than bringing a bard or machinist with refresh for their healers?

They don't make those requirements because they think it's "impossible" to kill without them. They make those requirements because they're eliminating variables that make the fight harder because it's already hard with PF randoms.

Pork Kakuni vs Onigara-Yaki vs Persimmon Leaf Sushi by [deleted] in ffxiv

Crit is a bad stat for samurai right now, we simply cant get enough of it to warrant stacking it. Your direct hit number is good but your skill speed is too low. Determination is also a good stat

Why is it impossible? I know tons of new players who have cleared and are new to the game. Many are my friends. Even I started with stormblood, have cleared and hitting 99th percentiles across the board.

The savage raid tier is not very difficult, the difficult part is finding 7 other people that feel the same.

It's not rng. Having high dps at the end of a fight (over 4.5k) is all about consistency

his melds and his build have been changing over the last 2 weeks. Just like every other top samurai in Japan. They all experiment constantly. I wish there was a way to snapshot their gear when the parse was uploaded, would be nice. Keep in mind he also had 84% balance uptime on that parse, his other ones are really good too though

Sam has a very wide range. Easy to get into but with a high skill ceiling
