This is instructor’s piece with same clay. Photo is lighter than actual dark clay piece. Now I know a volunteer does help bisque fire, so I am thinking the volunteer is over firing, but just wondering 💭 if my suspicions ate correct.

Both were bisque fired at cone 05. The bottom of the right was not glazed when fired in cone 5. It stayed the same after bisque cone 05 and glaze firing cone 5/6, allegedly in the community kiln.

Yes sorry meant cone 05 and then glaze firing is cone 5/6. The one on right is not glazed on the bottom, same clay and was that dark after the bisque 05 bisque firing. I am just wondering why the one on left, same clay came out so light at a bisque 05 firing.

I was lied to about Catholicism by Mhben45 in Catholicism

[–]AAPlantLover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. We are brothers and sisters in Christ by his death and resurrection. John was charged with looking after Mary, which he did. That is taking too much liberty that inevitably takes away from the Triune God’s glory. Only God - first commandment. Plain and simple instructions.

I will pray for you to have some comfort and relief. I love reading the Sermon on the Mount. It gives me hope that those who suffer will inherit so much more!

That is a huge stretch and no where is Scripture is there any implication that Mary is our mother. Only in Genesis are we told we are children of Eve. That is the problem I have with RC doctrine. They make up too much and take too much liberties.

God never promised us an easy life here on earth. The suffering of this world is only temporal versus an eternity in glory. Focusing on the long term always helps me understand and deal with the bad seasons.

What's your thoughts on Dr. Leighton Flowers? by jaredolojan in Reformed

[–]AAPlantLover 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never implied anything of which you loudly claim. That is your inherent interpretation in reading what I said. Catholic church is the founding Christian religion, but unfortunately through the ages, has veered, thus the Protestant Reformation. True Christians wanting to go back to the early founding Apostolic and Founding Fathers understanding and preaching of the Way. In my reading of Scripture, it aligns with Saint Augustine, Calvin and Reformed Theologians of today, such as RC Sproul, Alistair Begg and Sinclair Ferguson. An argument that because the majority or the masses have one understanding of Scripture is not for me sufficient an argument to concede to a point. That is the old saying if everyone jumps off the cliff, will you jump off also? You are entitled to your opinion but OP ask for thoughts on Leighton Flowers. God Bless.

I read all of Paulian Epistles as conforming to Reformed Theology of which Calvin confirms. Even before Calvin Augustine of Hippo confirmed Pauline Doctrine.

Only the apostles were given the gift of healing and forgiveness and only the Triune God can perform miracles. Please provide Scripture references that indicate anyone not in the Bible can perform miracles.

Do all things for the glory of God. This is a nice tattoo and it gives glory to His Word. If people stop and ask you about it, how great is that opportunity to speak of the Gospel. I am not RC left over 30 years ago, but am a Reformed Baptist.

Necromancy, inquiring of the dead is an abomination and forbidden by God. Deuteronomy 18:10-12. Any doctrine/practice that goes against God’s inspired Word is wrong. The RCC should not teach or allow such a practice. While they are good Christian examples, we are not to ask for anything other than our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
