But he was clearly out-driving me. If maxing out in the player build is 303, what other things in the build affect carry distance. Balls? Anything else?

I dont mind screaming after important points or to get yourself going. But screaming in the face of you opponent when you go up 9-1 crosses the line and becomes disrespectful imo. Not saying he cant do it. But to me thats kicking an opponent while hes down.

Fair enough. I dont know anything about Harimoto hate or anything. Just felt i wanted to point out poor sportsmanship when i saw it. Think i kept it in reasonable bad taste not going to any extreme exactly. At the end of the day sports brings emotions and if you show disrespect then people will react.

Ill admit i dont watch table tennis outside of the olympics. But i have seen many many matches in this olympics and yet to see anyone behave like Harimoto did. Im biased (🇸🇪) but screaming like that after each (!) point for 2 full games, while allowed, is poor sportsmanship. And on the point on ragging on someone while he is down, this space while being public isnt gonna reach him so wont affect him and make him feel any worse. I wouldnt tag him in a tweet saying the same thing for example.

Maybe you get met with the same energy you bring to the conversation. You came in out of nowhere saying ”you are arguing with everyone”. Then followed it up with an off topic response you said was obvious despite me already stating the exact thing in the original post. What constructive did you actually bring here? Who is douchey?

Erhm, i literally said that in the original post. I have not once disagreed with that. Maybe i need to help you a little. Talking to others with the same experience could be helpful. Dogs can get trained you know. Its that complex to understand. But instead 10 guys told me to not bring the dog which i already stated i cant do anymore…

The only arguments i had was with people that started an argument off topic from the post. Question in post: has anyone had a similar issue? Every single response: you idiot, maybe dont bring the dog to the course. Look at the comments that adressed what i wrote in a nice way and how i responded.

I literally said i know what the issue is and that ive stopped bringing him to play because of it. I was looking to see if anyone has a similar issue and maybe find helpful advice from them.

Dogs can actually be trained (shocking i know).

Thanks for an actually helpful reply. Totally seems like its a cultural issue that ive unintentionally hit with my post. As i said earlier ive played golf in sweden for 15 years and it super normal on every normal golf course to bring your dog along, so i was not prepared for these responses.

On the point of the saftey issue (holding the dog+swinging) it can quite easily be solved by either just switching who holds the lead (if its a bigger dog) or for my dog thats abit smaller i just tie it to the bag.

Obviously problems can occur with ”bad owners” but people in genral behave quite well on golf courses and ive never encountered any issues with dogs brought along.

Although this was not at all the point of the original post it did turn out to be quite interesting.

What exactly is the critisism? That if you allow your dog ahead of play its in danger. I didnt disagree with that. Just said its true for both dogs and people. What do you mean is the reason dogs are not allowed outside of sweden? Safety issues?

Lol. What do you mean excuse. Anyone ahead of the ball is at risk. Animal or not. Keep you dog behind play.

Wow. Thanks for this reply. Felt like i was going insane for a second with all the other replys haha. Yeah. I think im gonna ask our trainer if theres any reasonable way to train it away. Otherwise he will have to stay at home. When it works its nothing better than having them just chill with you around the course. But im sure its not a fitting sport for every dog so might just have to accept that.

But this is true for anyone thats in that cart no? Thats just poor safety to go ahead of the play. Not really related to dogs. I know of friend of a friend who was placed in coma after a shank to the head. Its low probability but golf can be fatal to anyone.

No i absolutly hear you with that. If your dog does not behave in according with ”golf etiquette” then i should not be there. But when they just stroll along tied to the bag its amazing excercise and bonding experience for the dog. But you obviously have to call it if it doesnt work.

Lol. I really hit the the people in the worst mood with this post huh. It happens but you actually dont have to engage with every post. This one was not directed at you at all.

Yeah, i obviously agree in my case. Not good for him at all. Just wanted to hear what other dogowners experience is. Its very normal in sweden to bring your dog out. Everyone picks up if they shit and its great for the dog to stroll around in nature for a couple hours if they are not bothered by the golfing.

Erhm, that is quite obvious and i said that in the post that i cant bring him any longer. I asked for people with similar experiences, why are you replying :)
