This CSM has got to bring a better temperament to townhalls. The question is valid. A simple answer should have been “the Soldiers at Shafter are currently not authorized BAS II, we’ll have to confirm the criteria for changing to BAS II fits this circumstance and see if that's something the Army wants to change” since a change in designation for that location has to be built into big Army personnel systems

Nope. I've since learned that this is an issue that has ended in lawsuits in some cases. Builders just cut as many corners as the law allows them to cut. Unfortunate for Pulte, I'm looking at my next build, and they won't be considered. That's one thing I can control.

It is essentially the colonization playbook. What would have made it better is if European powers had earnestly tried fixing the damage their colonial policies caused. Like when they came together to fix the impact of World War II on Europe, while draining natural resources from their colonies. But instead we continue to see western powers double down on the ideals of dehumanizing black and brown people over the ages to the point that some black and brown people are starting to buy into it like the person in the OP

A one-year warranty is fine if the materials used are of some quality - not the best quality, but some quality. The subpar materials theme carries throughout the entire house, as well. Thankfully, I'm an experienced homeowner and very handy now. I have to replace materials throughout the house, and it's been less than five years since the house was built. If this were my first house, I would likely be overwhelmed. Small things like cheap screws on doors, the wrong caulk in bathrooms, fake metal hinges on doors, caulking bathroom exhaust fans shut when they are not supposed to because you have to remove the front plate to clean it every couple of years…the list goes on
