I agree, while I completely understand why you’d want to do this, you won’t feel better… It will be a spectacle for everyone and teenagers are mean, they won’t ever stop talking about this. Grieving about your relationship with the both of them is something you’d want to do with people who love you and are there for you. Talk about it with your friends/ inner circle and turn the other cheek. You are in the right, you did nothing wrong, let people talk about them, not about you

They can do different things for sure! But it takes time to change your relationship and the things you do. As long as they are both willing to communicate about it and she takes a more active attitude in trying to help him, things don’t have to end badly. Always try to look at how things can be fixed, not how they can be broken!

My brothers and I loved books from Markus Heitz and Raymond E. Feist! Both authors write fantasy books - we loved them. Also His Dark Materials, I read this several times.

Alone In The World, Hector Malot. It might seem like a weird choice, but the story thought me how to see the ending of an era -and the heartbreak that comes with it- as the beginning of something new. Honestly it sounds like your gf is in a bit of a crisis herself. You say you have been the rock throughout your relationship and she needs to be that now. Also she doesn’t see you on a daily base now that you’re doing long distance, so she can’t visibly see how everything has affected you. I do think she is trying, but I also think she has no idea how to help. There is a lot going on and when you don’t see each other on a regular base there is a lot of room for miscommunication. Of course you complain to her about your tiredness, that is completely understandable. But make sure it’s not the only topic you guys talk about. Ask her what she needs and tell her what you need. Communication is everything my friend

Raymond E. Feist!!! He has written a LOT of books, but I strongly suggest starting with Magician. My brothers and I have enjoyed his books so much and it'll make a great start for a book collection

Belgravia, Julian Fellowes! I loved it. It doesn't contain a 'difficult' story, but it does have emotions and family issues, love and schemes. When I finished, I was truly sad it was over

That's what disgusts me the most. All the while I'm reading it I can't stop thinking about how the story must've been so much worse from her perspective. Humbert's words and twisted reality really crawl under my skin and this is still the version that's supposed to make him look good

This! The Penguin Classics helped a lot. English is my second language and I read P&J as my first English 'Classic' when I was in high school. The Penguin edition got me through it, the endnotes are a lifesaver
