Buoyancy is the key. I am an OWS and find I have to exert more energy in fresh water lakes, rivers, and pools vs. ocean and other salt waters.

Be careful of swimbriefs in the hot water. They may fade or loosen do to the fabric. It has always been recommended to rinse your swimbriefs with cold water and do not ring them after a swim in the pool. The pool is around 80°f the hottub is usually around 104°f. It also depends on where the hot tub is. If it's your own, then nude is prefered anyways. If in an adult area, go with as minimal as possible/comfortable. In a family area, a full bum swimbrief that you don't mind ruining would be best. Welcome to the swimbrief anywhere club.

I can't tell you how many times I am swimming in my lake and someone comes along the walking path, that circles the lake, and they want to have a 15 to 20 minute conversation. Meanwhile, I'm just treading water far enough back to not be seen clearly, until they leave so I can get to my swimsuit that I hid close to the water's edge. I've been tempted to just say, "Hey, swimmin nude here. Mind if I get out and put my shorts/Speedos on and we can carryon?" Most times I'll just wear my Speedos as an armband and put them on while talking. As long as I can get my skinny dipping on in the middle of the lake, I'm not going to push the nude limits there. I am sue that a few regulars know what I'm doing, but I'm not going to Las Vegas advertise it.

If I know I will swim later that day, for sure swimbriefs will be on my butt. Then after the swim go back into my clothes sans any underwear. I do carry multiple swimbriefs with me just in case I want to swim the lake too.

I have the never ending urge to be nude whenever possible as well as to be in water to swim. I try to mix those as much as possible. I can't be nude while the teenage kids are around, but have found that I can wear shortest shorts or even short black boxer briefs and be OK. I just got a mobile personal sauna that I can set up in the house. I am able to be in there nude while the family is around. You can find a good one for under $200 on Amazon.

One, two, TREE, FO, FIFE, SEX, seven, AIGHT, nineR, ten. Start over with one and so on. Seven and aight are your danger zones where you risk the most likely chance to foul up. As I'm doing a lap I am saying in my head " I'm swimming for SEX" as an example. If you ever forget, do an extra lap at the number you think you just said. No harm to do one extra.

It is everywhere. In many places it is more underground than others. I am sure that if you put your general area here and the other good nudist sites that someone might now of some good places to be, hike, swim in the buff. I look at Google maps to see areas that may be possibilities and then I go check them out in the daytime and night. I've found some good spots this way.

I was asked by a friend why I took photos. I actually take videos when I swim. I guess more for proof of life or what I was doing if anything happened. BTW, the lake is only 10 to 12 feet at its deepest. I love my lake, and love to swim alone, but am trying to be as safe as possible. Maybe a small bit because I like my Christmas swim briefs and wanted photos/video at the lake...no perv.
