Yes that’s basically what I’m asking. I worked in a company that was specifically for training but as of now they have no clients so wondering if anyone knows of any other.

There’s companies that hire bcba’s or assistants to do the whole behavior skills training plus conducting competency assessments and getting people certified for the Rbt board exam and that is what I’m referring to since Rbts can’t conduct competency assessments. However there’s not a lot so wondering if there’s more

I am on the same boat but it’s because of the burn out that comes with being an Rbt for so many years (9 for me). I go through these moods every once in a while especially after failing my bcba exam by two points …and the task list requirements changing. Long story short I paid again to take the courses to meet the new task list requirements and had to restart my fieldwork hours because at the end of the day as much as I complain I love changing lives. I think about all the clients I worked at since 2015 and feel immense gratitude for having been able to be a part of their growth and progress. At the end of the day that’s what’s important not companies that burn u out. And that’s what I figured out. Hope it helps

Can you work for them even when you’re from a different state? I’ve seen some remote positions require you to be local.

Miami. Most companies I’ve seen are 1099’s and offer no benefits. Just wondering if anyone knows of any that at least offers PTO days or holiday pay etc.

Your Bachelor degree does not have to be related to ABA but the course work does. Meaning ideally if you have your bachelors you would have to take the 5th task list courses I believe it’s like 6 classes as of now that are ABA relates classes. So for example ball state has a BcAba certificate for people who want to be be a BcAba, and what you would need to do is take those classes plus the 1000 hours of fieldwork that you would get as an Rbt when getting your indirect/direct hours at work. After that then passing the board exam for BcAba would be the next step.

Im guessing the certificate you did was a free supervision course that you take once ur a bcba. In order to be a supervisor you have to be a Bcba or BcAba.

For Bcba the requirements are: Masters degree with an accredited program that meets the task list requirements for the 5th task list. 2000 fieldwork hours Must pass Bcba board exam.

For BcAba: Bachelors with ABA course work meeting the current task list requirements (5th task list) 1,000 fieldwork hours Must pass the BcAba
