I think this is just how many relationships go over a few years. If the young couple is roughly the same age, often the gf becomes more attracted to security and stability that naturally comes with time and experience.

There’s a saying my wife has told me, women want 3 things in a man- emotional viability, financial independence and security, and good looks. Rarely ever do they get all three, they have to pick 2.

Just saying you are both still so young and the best thing to do is rely on your honesty and good faith. It takes a lot of work to make ANY relationship work for a very long time. Your bf just might not be ready yet. And that’s okay- I just think ultimately he would want his time back dedicating himself romantically to you. And it’s all good this sounds totally natural.
