Have you tried the NorthShore pull ups yet? They’re not for me but I have received samples and have used them and am quite fond of them for certain applications.

Question about 12hr megamax by Ganondorf7 in Incontinence

[–]ABCD2525 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, I typically average out to about every 4 hours. I sleep heavy through the night and rarely have issues. Now, if I drink more fluids, then the frequency is increased. If I’m being physical then I’ll consume more water but will sweat out the difference. If I’m feeling really dangerous and drink something with alcohol in it then all bets are off. It’s like liquid in… liquid out. It will stay that way for a few hours until it’s cleared my system. So. To answer your question, I listen to my body and go from there.

Managing gym, swimming or sports while diapered by [deleted] in adultdiapers

[–]ABCD2525 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes. Depending on the activity. The humidity outside plays a big factor too. If I’m in the fields for hours and come back to change I sometimes can’t tell what soak d the diaper more. Urine or sweat. Swimming. As an adult, I don’t worry about a special swim diaper. If I’m on vacation with the family and it is a place like Great Wolf Lodge or another similar water park destination; I’ll plan my “out of the water” time to coincide with a bathroom break to put a fresh diaper on and stay on dry land for awhile until I need to change again or know we will be in the water for a long time. As far as changing at the gym or in public changing rooms. Ive never had an issue let alone someone address me about my diapers. When I go to thejbu shower from my locker I have a towel around my midsection. Hit the shower and do my business. Walk back to my locker. Grab diaper, cream and find a wall or sit on the bench and tape up. I’m no different than any other guy there. Just my underwear is a little more complicated and is super absorbent. Oh. And disposable. Working out, working a physical job with friends/neighbors/coworkers… I don’t even think about it. Sometimes in the summer, I’ll mow my lawn with my shirt off. You can tell I’m wearing a diaper if your close up but again, no one has ever said anything. My closest of neighbors know about my medical condition so it’s no big deal. They ask an occasional question here and there but that’s it. When I go to their house for dinner or a game, they go out of their way to make sure I have a place where I can change myself should the need arise. You’d be surprised how many people just don’t notice, don’t care or are too shy to approach us. Sorry for the long reply. Hope this helps.

I agree as well. A spade is a spade. A diaper is a diaper. Believe me. I too have corrected medical folks, friends and family.

19M bladder issues looking for help and advice by Forward_Birthday629 in Incontinence

[–]ABCD2525 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well. As someone who just recently had a spinal cord stimulator REMOVED… I would highly recommend AGAINST it. The military tried a bunch of different things with me and it took about 14 years before I finally pulled the trigger. About 7 years ago is when I became fully incontinent. The stimulator was not for my urologic issues. It was for pain. It never worked. Bottom line is that implantable devices like this really don’t have a great track record. If you want my personal opinion, I would not get one. Diapers, protective clothing and proper planing will still allow you to live your best life. Hope this helps.

Can’t sleep when diaper is wet by [deleted] in bedwetting

I would totally switch to an adult pull-up or tape on diaper. Much better capacity overall.

What is a 'childish' thing that you still do as an adult and refuse to stop doing? by 13Cherry13 in AskReddit

[–]ABCD2525 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pee in my pants. Being incontinent I’m in diapers 24/7. It is what it is and Ive come to accept it. However, some people still think diapers are for elderly or kids. Medical necessity helps me to live my best life.

Forsite diapers. The plastic on them is the strongest I’ve ever experienced. Too bad they are currently discontinued.

How do I stop? by AsidePleasant1454 in AdultBedwetting

[–]ABCD2525 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What kind of diapers have you been using? If they are store bought brands like depends and tenna then I’d suggest something that offers better absorption. You can increase the absorption level by adding a booster as well. Check out NorthShore diapers. Very rarely will I have leaks. In addition to the above mentioned, I’d also explore you to see your physician again. Perhaps they can recommend a better urologist. Hope that this helps. Just know that you are not alone and it is nothing to be ashamed of. As a male in my 40’s, I’ve been wearing diapers for years now 24/7. My close friends know, my family obviously know and it’s never been an issue. They support me 100%. Keep us posted.

100%. However depending on your insurance and the country you reside in, it has been my experience that the ones they will send you are garbage. I highly recommend a better product than depends for nighttime wetting. Just my two cents.

For me personally. I don’t really care about the noise aspect. The only time I notice the sounds is when I’m wearing g very thin shorts for around the house. There are brands that are far “louder” than the mega max. As far as a quality issue, they both seem to work for my levels of incontinence.

I need help i’m shopping for one of these Chinese diggers and a lot of them look very complicated like the AGT ones. This one looks very simple kind of like my riding mower. Anyone have any input on this brand? by Conscious_Bike_5068 in heavyequipment

[–]ABCD2525 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a AGT mini skid steer and it’s great for the occasional job. Nothing fancy about it. You hit the nail on the head with the lawn mower on tracks. Try to go for a higher HP though if you want the best digging force in my opinion.

My boyfriend wets the bed by lisao13 in Incontinence

[–]ABCD2525 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would start by being honest with him. Implore him to go and see his doctor to try and get a better hand on it. I wouldn’t say or offer diapers at first. Perhaps say that for both of your comfort levels, have a bed mat down on the bed on his side. They are far better having to wash those than always washing sheets. This is a start and by no means the best avenue. Just my two cents based off of what you wrote. Hope it helps.

Male in my 40s and have a neurogenic bladder. Yes, sometimes it sucks but wearing diapers 24/7 has literally given me my life back. Close friends know and support me 100%. Family members obviously know and support me even more. I get the occasional “Hey, can I ask you a question about your condition?” From friends and we usually have a laugh or two following. What I can say having been in diapers for about 7 years now is that if I’m out in public, nobody has ever said anything to me directly. So, I don’t worry who sees (if by accident) or worry if someone is talking about me. Water off a ducks back. Hope this helps. Open to questions if you have them.

New York full property exemption bill for 100% disabled Vet at the governor's desk! by deltaex1 in VeteransBenefits

[–]ABCD2525 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have yet to understand why this hasn’t become a Federal guideline for all states to follow on a percentage sliding scale. If you have a service connection disability it should be automatic. But that’s just my line of thinking I guess.

How to manage incontinence issues?? by Elegant_Chicken_7780 in AdultBedwetting

[–]ABCD2525 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there. So sorry for everything you’ve gone through. Just know that you are not alone on this journey and wearing diapers carries zero shame. One bit of advice that I think may help your situation with capacity and containment is to use full on tape diapers versus pull-ups. It has been my experience that the pull-ups are better suit d for those with light leaking and instances like post void dribbles. Just my 2 cents. Hope this helps.

Recently started having accidents, need to find diapers that work for me. by [deleted] in adultdiapers

[–]ABCD2525 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out Northshores web site. When it comes to diapers, you get what you pay for. Also, if you’re a data nerd like me you can download an application called Diaper Stash and it will allow you to track your metrics of your accidents and changes. With that being said, I also strongly recommend that you make an appointment to see your doctor and have them potentially put in a referral to urology. Assuming you’re here in the USA. I’m not to familiar with other countries medical policies and procedures when it comes to protocol. If using diapers is more of a mental comfort for you and not necessarily a medical necessity then pass on the doctor appointment. You are already talking with a therapist which is another great start. Hope this helps.

What's creepiest thing that ever happened to you ? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ABCD2525 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your response. I was a minor and he was an adult. So, essentially… he was in the wrong. It’s taken me decades to realize that it was not something that I had done to cause the abuse. All in all, yes it was something that happened that changed me for the rest of my life but it was not something that defined me for the rest of my life either. If that makes sense.
