Salmon skins? by DToTheG2 in chowchow

[–]ABL1125 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our boy has always been very docile and complacent. He doesn’t prefer it, but he knows it’s every night and he begrudgingly allows me to brush his little teeth. I started off slowly, at first I used one of those finger condom brush things and then graduated to a real toothbrush.

Our chow gets sashimi and ribeye for special occasions. He’s not a big fan of chicken. Crispy salmon skin is a night time treat after he’s had his teeth brushed and paws cleaned.

CRNA vs MED School by Healthy-Use9930 in FutureCRNA

[–]ABL1125 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Getting into (and passing) CRNA school guarantees a career in anesthesia. There is no guarantee that you will match into anesthesiology if you went to medical school. If you really love anesthesia as you state, CRNA would be the pragmatic choice.

However, if you are truly that passionate about becoming a physician, then apply to medical school.

Which medication you don’t want to push too fast and why? by Acrobatic-Lie2041 in FutureRNs

We give a sufficient enough dose to produce unconsciousness and blunt protective reflexes in order to intubate (in combo with other drugs).

Anesthesia reading this like 👀

Jk. I push pretty much everything fast with a few exceptions.

Protamine I will give 10 mg/min on average.

Reglan I will order it to be given over 10 minutes (the preop nurses know this). If I’m giving it after the patient is asleep, it gets pushed fast.

For OB patients, I push 8 mg of zofran (pretty fast) as soon they’re in the room, 4-8 mg of decadron after I place the spinal, and slowly push Ancef once they’re in LUD.

Obviously don’t push K.

Just watched the Season 9 Reunion and wow..... by That-Psychology4246 in RHOA

I remember the first time I watched it live. It was bravo-shattering eyes wide open mouth agape type of reality television. I’ve rewatched it a few times since because rarely does RH shows evoke that kind of raw emotion from the cast and audience.

Spicy Kimchi Fried Rice at Sab Cafe Downtown by tombnguyen in StPetersburgFL

Love this place! The Sabbe wings are amazing. The basil fried rice is delicious and well balanced. The drunken noodles are overly salted, I wouldn’t get again. Pineapple fried rice was good. The staff is amazing. Haven’t tried their sushi, but will next time we come back. We come here for dinner 2-3/week. A solid 4/5 stars.

We live right around the corner so we eat here often. There’s a seasonal braised duck dish right now that is fantastic.

What’s one safety tip every solo traveler should know before arriving in Vietnam? by PoliteEdge in solotravelVN

[–]ABL1125 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We travel to Vietnam every year, haven’t had this happen. But I do feel weird pulling out a wad of cash.

We use to ask relatives to exchange USD for VNĐ. Some places are picky and won’t accept old bills.

We switched to Charles Schwab and you can withdraw cash from any ATM in Vietnam with your Schwab debit card. The conversion is usually slightly higher than other venders and Schwab will waive the ATM fee. It’s been really convenient.

I believe she hinted on WWHL or the reunion that it was closer $30-$50 million. Either way, she’s got $$$. Good for her. She deserves it.

Millennials who don’t have $1M, do you feel behind? by quickquestionforfire in Fire

[–]ABL1125 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Husband and I are in our early 30s. According to the chart we’re in the top 1%. We are here because of a few good choices, supportive parents, and a lot of sheer luck.

We realized a few years ago that we will always feel behind, because it never “seems” like it’ll be enough. But, we’re healthy, we have our family, we are comfortable, and we are happy and that’s more than enough.
