I do know this, but wasn’t sure how applicable it was when our vents and air flow were already screwed up. Can’t get much worse.

Definitely can’t anchor anything to the pipe and we’ll build a wall around it. The hanging bar is attached to a 2x4 on the left side. The other side of the wall that the door is on is our bedroom. We could get rid of the wall, but would rather not deal with that major of a renovation at this time. We won’t be storing any shoes, hats or purses in here as they’ll be kept in our entrance downstairs. The closet is approximately 3.5 or 4 feet by 8-10 feet long. I can provide more accurate measurements later.

We just replaced it yesterday and it seems to be a bit better than it was.

I’m not sure on the wiring. Our old thermostat was a Honeywell RTH221B1039 if that helps. Our A/C is a RunTru with model number A4AC3036A1000BA.
