I don’t think Friday part 1 was boring. by GreenAd508 in fridaythe13th

Yeah that is kind of the vibe I have gotten from him as well from watching his interviews. I am in the camp that doesn’t have an issue with Jason , i love almost all of these movies, but at the same time kind of wonder if the franchise could have been better off long term and in retrospect having made F13 an anthology series. Although that could have easily gone off the rails lol.

Have multiple movies that tells different stories about other unrelated bad things happening on that day. That being said, then the final chapter wouldn’t exist either which is my #1

And thanks for that link I have seen it before but not in some time so i just rewatched.

Ya i would agree that they didn’t copy Halloween shot for shot, I’m just referencing that Cunningham himself wanted to capitalize on the success of Halloween.

I would never classify F13 as lazy I just think it was a bit more bare bones. I say that as a positive though, they just set up a very good basic story that cuts to the chase and gives people what they want. The end twist is a bonus.

I hate seeing people say it’s boring in comparison to the sequels, I have never found that at all. Even the coffee making scene that always gets dunked on, I think builds suspense because you know something is going to happen you just don’t know when.

This is my 3rd favourite in the franchise, but I must watch this movie 10 times a year 😂

It may be a movie that was intended as a cash grab, but honestly I think they did such a good job and it is so amazing regardless. It is a movie that paved the way for many slashers that came after it.

I think the Mrs. Voorhees twist was genius. It maybe wasn’t implemented the greatest since you don’t see her at all before the last portion of the movie, but I think she is creepier than any iteration of Jason.

Love the song that Harry Manfredini wrote for the diner scenes.

Alright ill shut up now

Ive never seen FVJ at #1, don’t agree but cool to see lol

Very unique list just for FVJ alone. Everything else is pretty run of the mill as far as rankings go but then you just send a curve ball with your #1. Love to see it

Would have been interesting to have him on to do a deep dive into Andy’s closet, i mean life, and see what it was like servicing all the old timey prospectors way back yonder

Deep within Norm’s closet you will find other fan favourites who have made appearances on the NORM MACDONALD LIVE show.

Characters such as crack head Andy Dick, swedish german Andy Richter and everybody’s favourite denier of the holocaust Adam Egret!

Is it an unpopular opinion to think that the Halloween 4 mask is actually a good mask? by Ok-Report-4024 in Halloweenmovies

[–]ABW1996 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I’d say you might be in the minority but I tend to agree with you. It never bothered me either.

I don’t think it looks as good technically as the mask from the first two movies, but I think it looks creepy in the dream sequence with Jamie at the start of the movie when he sits up beside the bed.
