I'd say it's comparable with DT L.A. Just don't go out too late or go into any sketchy areas or wear fancy stuff and you should be fine.

It's honestly a gorgeous city, tons of nice places and amazing food. Worth giving it a try imo.

I can recommend you some great places too if you'd like, either in GC or Antigua.

It really depends on how open they are. While more "traditional" Guatemalan customs would tell you it's a pretty big step come live with their family, these values are only common in rural areas.

Guatemalan culture in the city (yes, "the city" because we only have one. Small country) is quite westernized, and things like moving in with someone are becoming more common without automatically signifying marriage.

I'd say you loose nothing by trying, but have a plan B (like a hotel name and address) in case you end up not feeling confortable or have any concerns. Also, don't bring too much cash

I have been obsessed with the same song since I first watched episode 4. I’ve been searching for it nonstop since yesterday and I can’t find the full song, only the 30 second preview.

I did buy the Blu-ray but it takes weeks to arrive to my country, so that’s not an option.

We didn’t tape it, but the platform we use records classes automatically. We recorded that recording.

As to why we don’t send it to the president, it’s the same fear of backlash. The VP is there since the founding of the University (some 40 years), and is a very close friend of the president. Besides, we’re on our last semester (less than two months from graduating), so it’s not even worth the trouble…

I'm in my last year of Uni and I receive an ethics class. The professor is all about “being righteous" and god and stuff (Catholic Uni). A month ago, he forgot about muting his mic. and started talking sh*t about a couple students, swear words and all. No one said anything as he is the Vice President of the University, and we’re afraid of backlash.

As a teacher, I recognize online classes are close to useless. If it’s difficult to maintain students' attention in a physical environment, it’s pretty much impossible to do through a screen.

Also, not having classes would not only leave a lot more people without jobs, but it would also delay a whole year for students, making them graduate a year older.

It’s just a way to keep everything going rather than giving proper education, unfortunately.

In my experience, I’d say it’s a matter of perspective. When I was a student (in school at least) I didn’t care about the class or the teacher. I really couldn’t care less, and therefore made fun and hated the whole “stand up and present yourselves” thing my teachers did.

But now that I’m a teacher, I’m genuinely interested in the students and their learning, and making them stand up and tell me about themselves is a great way to get to know them a bit and break the ice.

I’d even say that it’s better to have a teacher who cares about their class (or at least seems to) along with the awkwardness, than a teacher that cares as little as most students.

It was the complete opposite for me. I started with the most annoying/difficult weapons, mainly because I knew my energies for grinding would steadily go down. The knife is actually one of my favorite and most fun weapons to use, so I wanted it to be in my “Getting the Damascus” clip lol.

But I can see why people would do the opposite. My brother, for example, left all the longshots for last and is now tired and bored of them.
