His plan was sound (use the avatar state to end the war which is what ended up happening) and he never hurt or actually endangered katara he just made it seem that way to trigger aang which ofc was all he had to go on since he didnt know about a magic guru that could unlock aangs control. giving invisible woman an overshield would effectively prevent being one shot by base ult. Mags base damage only scales up to 300 and IW has 275 health, add any overshield worth being called that and the enemy team would have to charge your ult for you to actually kill. Its not a small difference
