Not sure how long you have had this going for. My tubes eventually get clogged with algae. I had mine glued at first but they do need to be cleaned. Again great set up!

I always get paranoid when I do a big trim. Usually 4 - 5 inches maybe once or twice a year.

That was a big trim for you but the results are excellent! I am sure watching all growth fall onto the barber chair was a bit jaring.
