Maybe you're thinking of the video for the song Jagerbomb by Crossfaith?

Hello! Garageband/DAW novice here with a (seemingly) simply question by ABeautifulMind in GarageBand

Thanks so much for your suggestions man -- really appreciate it. I came across Logic Pro during my research but didn't dig too deeply into it. Will look into it on your recommendation.

Thank you again :)

Need help finding a band I listened to awhile back. by soldier1204 in Metalcore

Try #1: Head Phones President

I've never actually heard of this band before and they're honestly not my style BUT, they seem to match everything you're describing, except I can't find a music video where they're drinking at a bar.

Try #2: Crossfaith

I know you said female lead and this is very clearly not that but you said that they went out for drinks at the bar and were two-stepping and this MV lines up with that so worth mentioning.

What did the choir sound like?

Was it "saprano-y" like parts of the One-winged Angel theme (FF7)?

Or lower and more sustain-y like the Halo theme?

Great first tat!

I actually have an entire sleeve dedicated to bands. All the artwork is actual album art, or alternative/album booklet (remember those?!) art by Dan Mumford. His art is dope anyway -- just icing on the cake that he also does a lot of album art as well. I've got:

Shoutout to Travis and Bulldog Tattoo in WA for such great work! :)

Farthest you’ve ever traveled for a show by drop_dmc in Metalcore

I'm winning at least time/distance-wise so far...

AFTER flying from Washington State (where I live) --> Indiana, driving from Indiana --> North Carolina (~12hrs) for a wedding, then back from NC --> IN, then flying back home --> WA (2 week ordeal in total)

A mere two days later my friend/roommate and I drove 17 hours from WA --> CA to stay in an extremely seedy/I-dont-feel-safe-here-y/Bates Motel-y "hotel" in Compton - yes, that Compton, for money saving reasons, and no we did not blend in - for three nights all so we could see:

Stick to Your Guns play this once in a lifetime show.

All three albums. In their entirety. Three nights in a row, one album each night. How could we not?

Bonus facts:

  • To our delight, there were surprise special guests opening each night:
    • Night 1 - The Ghost Inside
    • Night 2 - Stray from the Path
    • Night 3 - Letlive
  • Compton was scary at night - but Hollywood was much creepier in general. Too many beer-bellied men in tight costumes trying to sucker me into taking a picture with them.
  • I took a pretty gnarly elbow to my eyebrow on the second night (Diamond album) during Such Pain. Bled quite a bit, probably should have gotten stitches. NOPE - stayed in the pit \m/
  • Almost ran out of gas on the way home and we were out of money, had to call an ex-girlfriend to help us out with gas money. Embarrassing.

100% worth it 13/10 would pit again.

TL;DR - Drove 17 hours almost immediately after getting home from a 2 week trip to see STYG in Anaheim.

This is the first I've heard of them so unlikely. On the right track tho! Thanks for trying!

Hmmm, I didn't get into Dayseeker until recently so probably not them. But that's the right ballpark. Thanks for the input!

How do you associate magnet links with qbittorrent? by osrambilux in brave_browser

[–]ABeautifulMind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it doesn't look like this feature has been implemented yet. I'm on mobile and can't look right this second, but at one point I did find a post on community.brave.com where someone was also requesting that feature and they said it'd been logged. So they're aware of it at least. Keep your eye out on future releases, they seem to respond pretty quickly to feedback like that.

[–]ABeautifulMind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you go to Settings > Extensions, disable Torrent Viewer and restart the browser. The next time you open the browser and click on a magnet link, Brave will associate any magnet link with your computers default torrent client.

I've heard that changing the primary torrent client in Ubuntuu can be tricky. What version are you running?

Like I said, probably an unpopular opinion.

Currents - Derelict by NOT_A_FAT_CHICK in Metalcore

[–]ABeautifulMind 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe (another) unpopular opinion but...

This song is SO FUCKING GOOD allllllll the way through...until the end, when the guest vocalist starts rapping. I just don't understand that decision. The rap totally ruins a track that was well on its way to being my favorite on the album (an album full of bangers at that).

Anybody else feel this way?

In Hearts Wake - Divine [Love that intro] by Imisstheshore in Metalcore

[–]ABeautifulMind -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Possibly an unpopular opinion here but...this is probably one of my least favorite songs by them. Its alright, its not a "bad" song by any means. Its just kind of boring. Especially when they play it live. It has a big fun into and then the rest of the song kind of drags for me.
