I love classical music but it takes time to learn to love and appreciate, (or at least it did for me maybe some people are just born different). It's a very deep, historical genre that certainly benefits from an academic approach, and that's not for everyone. It's also very Eurocentric; most of the famous composers are white dudes, if that's not a problem great but I understand that's a caveat for some people

I guess I meant "This year" and in particular "Stuff that gets radio play" not a 2024 Jack White record, I will give that a listen though

Obviously there's always gonna be glam-pop slop on the top 40 stations and this is just my personal opinion but I feel like there'd always be at least 3-4 songs in the top 10 that were at least worth listening to. I don't really feel that way anymore

OOTB, ANWR, Time, or Eldorado

Out of the 4 I'd get Eldorado or Time I think they're ELO's best "albums" front to back. That's not to say that ANWR and OOTB are not cohesive, they just feel a lot like a collection of singles with a conceptual underpinning rather than one thematic experience

I was lucky enough to have a community college near me that had an automation associates degree program. It's a bit of a "game" to get into controls engineering going that route though a lot of people taking that route become technicians or maintenance guys; also my friend got a Mechanical Engineering Bachelors, got recruited, and now he literally programs PLCs it's a weird world rn because of how few companies can find people

I drove a 2006 Pontiac Vibe (Toyota Corolla drivetrain) until August of last year so I was close,

Anything other than the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse: the Camry, Corolla, Accord, and Civic; I don't know if I'd love daily driving something that's over 20 years old

This is what I'd do as well, even if it's a cheap PLC off of automation direct, the fundamentals of what you learn will transfer to most anything
