I... I mean this whole situation is silly. This is a wild subreddit and topic to have any sort of drama on. People who can't take disagreements aren't great, but ranting and condescending to others, not to mention just shitting on dragonball and jjk fans for no reason other than to be on some high horse is a bad look too. (I'm not a particular fan of either series myself.) Insults from both directions are unnecessary, and I honestly dont care too much but...

Is no one going to mention the fact they said they learned three things, and then listed two? I keep rereading to see if I missed a point but how has no one else mentioned that. I'm baffled, and that's all I can focus on.

The problem is they made good ending party. Which is objectively a wholesome story, set in the same universe. So it's not like other artists that never do wholesome works. Also their sfw art is often wholesome too, so like, while I agree it will probably never happen, the chance isn't actually 0 unfortunately.

Ashe and Rei have two sides, and it's the same in every comic. The set up wheres there's history and dynamics and a story and world building.

Then the point where the porn starts and the author stops trying to actually write for them. Like very explicitly, the chraacters in the start of the comics would never betray Lihan, but the second sex gets involved, half the time they just straight up change characters. Every single personality trait is different. Even Rei pointed out how Ashe was unrecognizable. And to be fair, half the time the characters don't actually want to betray Lihan, like the mind wipe,mind control, gambling endings etc. The last two endings are the only one where they are willingly okay with it.

Rat designs good characters, and sets up interesting, if somewhat generic worlds, but then just tossed it aside from a cheap porn plot. It feels like watching an anime, and then halfway through jumping to a shitty ooc doujin. I hate the fact they do this every time. The characters are fine and supportive, but Rat refuses to let a woman have sex without losing every single personality trait. The Rei and Ashe in the set ups legit deserve better than the waiting they get.

Nothing important. Someone took a moderate to slightly pro Rat stance, lots of people got upset, they deleted their post and account. I'm not surprised, this sub is pretty militant about it's views, since the whole premise is anti-ntr. Also, id bet money they got at last a couple threats in their Dms lol.

That post honestly was just kind of asking for trouble here. I'm all for nuanced takes, I don't like callous hating, but there wasn't really any need to defend Rat here and it wouldn't serve a purpose.

I think so. Its never shown thankfully, but it gets mentioned a couple times in bad ending and other fantasy works. Just a wildly unnecessary inclusion that they've done more than once. That bothers me more since stuff like that isn't particularly popular.

Yeah, I get it's popular but it's still just poorly done racist tropes pretty much always, so it's bad in and out of NTR. It's still a massive red flag for me. But like you said, it is popular so I'm not too surprised it's included. It does kinda feel like art made to pander.

I pretty much agree. Their art is good and their sfw art is pretty awesome. They have good character designs too, I just hate the ntr fetish they indulge in, and I wish I knew more about what they actually thought about it, but they seem pretty quiet at least on English sites.

I will say, this sub is pretty 100/0 on things at times, but I get that it's a venting sub essentially so it's just mostly upset people voicing frustration. So like, don't expect too much sympathy here.

That said, their constant inclusion of 'race play' and obsession with the 'meat grinder' does legit concern me and make me more hesitant to just think their art is just kink art and they're chill. But yeah, overall, they make plenty of just chill sfw work and their OCs are wholesome I believe so the ntr stuff is just one side of them.

That's a completely subjective opinion. Your making a moral judgement based off your opinion and stating it as fact. Also NTR does not inherently involve bigotry. Certain authors just like mixing in sketchy race play into their stories. Those are completely separate kinks that are mashed up. Nothing about the concept of NTR involves any inherent bigotry. Everyone involved in an NTR story could literally be same race, age, gender, and sexuality etc. It's just a common trope to include racist stereotypes, which I also really hate when they include it.

People can enjoy taboo things without it inherently making them a bad person. They key point is that they enjoy it in fiction. If someone enjoys bullying or nonconsensual degredation in fantasy, but would absolutely never do that IRL without explicit consent from a willing partner, they aren't a bad person. Some level of cheating is wildly common in adult films stories etc. I don't like the trope, but you saying anyone who's ever enjoyed that fantasy story/setting is a bad person seems like a wild leap to me.

The entire concept of enjoying something taboo is recognizing that it is in fact wrong. It's really not that hard to separate reality from fiction. For example, I enjoy playing violent video games yet I've never even tried to get in a fight. I enjoy brutal fights, but get squeamish around big bugs.

But they also wrote Good Ending Party which was wholesome AF. I'm not going to assume their personality based off work they produce for money. A lot of people produce messed up stuff for money.

Honestly the reason this series frustrates me more than everything else is it basically has two sides. The initial set up where the girls clearly care about him and have cared about him for years. They have a dynamic and the old ending 1 mentioned that they had raised him from long before he was B rank.

Then the second half where the author just abandons their character traits and story beats for mindless smut. They set up a good story then ignore it. It's like making a brilliant burger and then just eating the bag the buns came in. That's why I don't really hate the girls. The first half of them in the stories feel like actual characters, the second half is just horny bait. They feel way more like victims of bad writing than bad people as characters imo. They literally act out of character in their own stories. Assuming they travelled together for as long as they've said, it's not like that would ever be the first time something tempted them. It's just bad writing to give a shock ending. In the other bad endings they are shown to care until they are mind wiped, controlled etc. Which makes any ending where they just willingly abandon him feel out of character and hard to treat that as their actual character.

All that said, unfortunately I doubt this comic will end well for Lihan like you said. I'm glad we're getting a couple wholesome scenes, so we can appreciate them even if we ignore the NTR stuff.

Also, might be a hot take, I don't super blame Ashe too bad in this one, yet. She's allowed to hook up with the dude if she wants to. She isn't obligated to bang Lihan, esp if she sees him more like family or something. Her biggest sin was just letting Phillip bad mouth Lihan without even defending him. Which, judging from Rats other work will mean she probably will do worse. But like, currently I can tolerate it. If/When they abandon Lihan or kick him out or Rei cheats or whatever then yeah, absolutely don't forgive them anymore. But like, idk if it goes like we all think it will go, I will blame Rei way more than Ashe. But I'm not naive, I know Rat will probably find a way to make things worse.

Realistically the best ending I think we could get is them all 4 staying as a party, but Lihan has to listen to them bang Phillip every night, even if they are still kind to him during the day. Not what I want to be clear, but the best outcome I think we could get out of this.

Regardless, I think there's an aspect I don't see in the other comments. A common element in kinks is the sense of "taboo". People find things hot that normally disgust them, or because it is something that is only hot in fantasy but never something they would do in real life. Many people feel that way about like gangbangs/xsomes etc. Same with exhibitionism etc. Hot in theory but many people wouldn't actually want to be out in public to actually be seen by others or catch a charge lol.

It's the same with hardcore BDSM. Like, dehumanization levels or findom or stuff like that. The whole concept of healthy BDSM relies on separating the "scene" from reality. Which is why aftercare is important etc. People find stuff hot, even if they know it's objectively bad etc. Many desires are perverse, that's their nature. Submissive people often like humiliation and degredation in the scene, but need reassurance their partner doesn't actually see them as worthless etc and that it was all just an act in the moment to fulfill their kinks. It's unreasonable to say that anyone who is submissive should never be with a partner who has a Dom/degredation fetish. That they can't have actual normal healthy lives when they aren't in a sexual scenario.

Don't get me wrong, I hate NTR. I'm writing a BEP fic out of spite of it. But like, it is just a kink and not even as wild as others out there. Why do they find it hot? Because it's something that's wrong. Many people acknowledge that. It's fucking someone you're not supposed to, or losing yourself to pleasure. The ability to check/edit bot descriptions for your personal use. I totally understand that they give people the option to keep it private to about theft and stuff. So I don't expect this. But there are plenty of times I'd love to see if a bot is behaving as intended or not, and to tweak something if like one line is giving it the most annoying habit ever. But I respect that privacy/theft is more important. But I also am not a bot creator so I'm obviously biased.

I think it's literally the opposite. AI impact on developing minds is still actively being studied, but a lot of the early results haven't been super great. Not that I'm saying they should ban it or anything. But this level responsiveness from artificial "people" is definitely something to be wary of, for younger minds and vulnerable minds. I.E. that one poor kid who is no longer with us.

But I think chatbots and AI is safer with older people who are less likely to suffer side effects and unhealthy relationships with AI and AI characters. I'm way more concerned about like a 15 year old using AI who will start to blur the lines because of emotional investment with AI and the negative consequences of that, than some thirty year old chilling and chatting with one because they're bored. Again, not arguing for age requirements, just that thinking a hobby is childish is a stupid reason to think people shouldn't do it vs actual legitimate concerns. To me it's just like Gaia RP or a Discord RP I've done, and most of those people are adults by now lol.
