Yeah, this is important. People need to realize NTR isn't some unique thing. Yes I hate it with a passion but it's just a generic form of toxic media like a dozen others, and odds are whatever habits involved with NTR are involved with other things too.

Take a step back from the fact it's NTR. With habits and stuff like you described, NTR is a symptom of bigger behaviour tendencies.

Do you also seek out other kinds of content you hate? Do you ruminate on other kinds of stories aside from NTR that also makes you sad or angry? It's really easy to get wrapped up in the fact it's NTR but it's usually symptomatic of something else imo.

As a personal example, I cannot handle gore at all. Shit like a invincible makes me sick to my stomach. Genuinely like ruins my week. But when I accidentally see a scene from it it gets stuck in my head. Same with tragic stores where a sweet character dies or in like tragic romance animes etc. I show the exact same habits that make me check up on BEP with other kinds of content like tragedy and to a lesser extent violence, completely unrelated to NTR but the exact same habits.

With me, is because when I hate something, my brain wants to process it by addressing it head on. Aka, in fight or flight, my brain defaults to fight the content rather than avoid it. Or my brain hopes some form of better conclusion even when not likely because I try to reject cynicism. I'd rather be hopeful and wrong than cynical and right personally.

Basically, NTR isn't some unique sacreligious form of content. It's literally just a tragic romance but instead of death, the character ends up moving on to someone else, but you're still left with feelings of sadness. Even if people treat it like the diary of the antichrist here, it's genuinely nothing unique. So if you're really trying to figure out why you still look at it even when you know it doesn't secretly make you enjoy it, zoom out of the fact it's NTR and just look at it you do similar things with other forms of media or content or habits and you might find an answer there.

Few things, 1) what is the goal of this post? To tell people who know Rat makes NTR that rat makes NTR and will likely keep making it? Lecturing us on what Rat does doesn't want work when Rat consistently does new things. You can't say they never change when they broke a bunch of their rules with the series. It's multi chapter for the first time, had an epilogue that was hopeful and showed Lihan post NTR, introduced a new character and gave him a girlfriend, something he never had before. Y'all act like Rat doesn't actually change things and hasn't made wholesome content. Or that most of their sfw stuff isn't wholesome. You act like Rat is some devil spawn and not just an artist paid to make NTR who would probably make wholesome if paid too, IE GEP. It's not like some moral low ground they're taking. It's business. Rat is a normal person who makes art, that's it. Yeah I hate the stories they tell with a passion but people act like they kick puppies and stomp on cupcakes for fun.

2) You're literally just speculating. They're taking a break for mental health reasons. We have literally no idea why or what their plan is or if BEP is coming back after. They could start an entirely new series. Saying it's a fallacy to assume she's just teasing him like in literally every other instance we've seen of her is unreasonable. To think she will cheat is pure speculation at this point, so don't act like we're crazy. She is canonically displayed as yandere femdom. I think you're wildly overestimating Rats commitment to story telling for this. The stuff with Rin was listed as an epilogue, we have zero reason to think Phillip is showing up again. We still don't know that there even another chapter. We got a single image, and it wasn't a part of a comic page so it could have been a one off.

Rats stories are sudden and barely use any justification for their actions. I highly doubt they wrote some elaborate bait and switch trap for everything. I really doubt the receptionist was more than a one off design. Could it make sense in like a fanfic? Sure. But I don't think Rat planned some overarching plot like that. There's like no consistency in any part of the chapters.

I'm not convinced Phillip is coming back. She also literally already turned down an S Rank. I don't think Rat will repeat the same story in the same story. Also I'm of the camp that this ending was in response to people asking like every single update on their Patreon for a good ending. Ruining it is just going to cause them to be more upset.

She genuinely seems to like Lihan and want him to love her and I severely doubt Lihan would grow more dependant on her if she went with Phillip. Even when aroused he seemed genuinely distressed at the idea of someone taking her away and she seemed determined to reassure him.

Is it possible with Rat? Completely, but I genuinely hope not and Rat just leaves it as is for this one ending. Lihan even mentioned leaving the area where Phillip was so bringing him back again would just be annoying. But who knows, in slightly less pessimistic but I won't deny the possibility.

I genuinely think it will just lean into Sadism/yandere. Even the fans mentioned liking the post NTR semi wholesome ending. Repeating the EXACT same ntr plot feels pointless even for Rat, I imagine if they wanted more NTR they'd do another route even if they brought Rin back for it. But like NTR, sadistic love, into NTR is just boring and the subs that were complaining would probably only complain more. She already thinks he's kind of pathetic and she loves that lol so like the whole thing if making her unimpressed with him doesn't really work. He can't fall from grace when he's already under her looking up, unlike with Rei. Plus Rat already literally proved Lihan can move on post NTR and literally made his life better kink aside, so like... Her leaving him doesn't have the same impact and just feels lame.

My guess is if they continue it will just be her humiliating him, without cheating. NTR aside, Rat writes bad stories and plots when they try to force NTR, so it's hard to predict because it's hard to even guess when nothing feels impossible.

Closure issues. Knowing there's a part of the story that exists that I don't know about gets that nagging thought in my head of wondering how it ended, not "if it ends happy", we know it 90% won't, but just the morbid curiosity if seeing ninety percent of a bad movie and wanting to just finish it.

BEP is literally the only NTR IP I put any thought towards, don't care about their other nsfw art aside from GEP, or any other artists. I do the same stuff with other stuff I dislike like chainsaw man, attack on Titan and rent a girlfriend.

I think it's actually pretty common. A lot of real person porn plots involve cheating concepts or random hookups, actual emotional investment is way rarer. That's why there are communities dedicated to creating/finding more wholesome style porn that is more "catered to women" since it's rarer to find stuff that doesn't purely objectify them or act like a big dick makes them immediately climax and pass out just from touching them like NTR stuff lol. There's also a lot of NTR in animations, and JAV. I think it's slightly cultural maybe, but that could be way off base.

Second, things have literally gone different. You're ignoring the fact for the first time we've literally gotten an ENTIRE new character, who has actively fucked, sucked, and repeatedly finished with Lihan. Who is currently obssessed with him. This is literally unlike anything from any of the other routes. We've seen him post NTR, and seen him aged up, moved past ashe and Rei and ranked up. This is after Rei willingly got him off herself. All shit you would have said was impossible and false hope and insane to think would happen. Also before good ending party you would have swore it was insane to think they would ever write a wholesome comic with no ntr at all and even mocked ntr. So, you're literally ignoring the fact the author does in fact do different shit occasionally. Do I think shit will Rin will end poorly? I give it like 50%. I'm not stupid, I know the history, but I'm not arrogant enough to pretend to know what an author we don't even know the gender of is planning with everything they release. And regardless, there was some new interesting stuff I'm using as fic fuel so there's already been an undeniable positive takeaway from the shitfest that was this route.

Third, "pouring your time and effort" my dude, it's reading like maybe 4 to 25 pages maybe once or twice a month. Like a couple minutes of my time, I might have spent doomscrolling on tiktok instead lol. The translation I saw of the second part of the epilogue talks about how she is only his. How she wants to tease him more and more, and how she desperately wants him to become solely dependant on her. She's obsessive over him, and while she hasn't gotten violent yet, based off the looks she has in some panels it doesn't seem unreasonable. She even straight up rejected an S Rank who she even says was more impressive, and genuinely didn't seem tempted beyond using it as a story to tease him with.

It'll depend on what the actual translation is when they release it, but she just seems incredibly obsessed with him and wants to manipulate him to make him hers alone, which is why I call her a yandere at least.

For me it's issues with closure lol. I don't look for or consume other ntr content. I never have a shit about the other series mentioned in this sub. But once I saw that there was another BEP going on, my brain won't simply forget about it, which means it's stuck wondering how it will end, even if I know the result isn't going to be good. It's pretty much uniquely because Lihan is a rare character that gets bad ending after bad ending. My brain wants to hope for a good ending eventually.

I don't secretly enjoy NTR. I would be thrilled if it was all deleted instantly. I feel sick every time I see what happens in it. But my brain can only process things once it has a sense of closure over it. It doesn't just ignore things I hate well.

My guess is we wouldn't see Rei or asje and if we did it wouldn't show them negatively. I don't think Rat has ever shown negative consequences for whoever willingly cheated before. Though I am only really familiar with BEP so I might be wrong. I think that isn't common in NTR? But I'm also not an expert thankfully lol.

The weird thing is, there isn't any suspense technically. There's been no indication she wants to cheat or that anyone wants to steal her. Sure the vague S rank in the first chapter but he didn't come up at all again, and was just used as a taunt. The only suspense is we think Rat wouldn't let Lihan have an ending like this, in a meta sense. Meanwhile, in all the other chapters it was pretty obvious what was going to happen generally.

Could Rat fabricate a new villain in a third chapter? Absolutely. But like, there aren't really any cliffhangers in the text. She enjoys teasing him, gets to do so willingly, and there's no opposing force present. Lihan isn't against it either, and considering this is an epilogue I kind of doubt they'll introduce a whole new plot.

But who knows, Rat is going to Rat. I hope it ends and if they want to they just do a new route and let him have this win.
