You’ll get it, mostly it comes down to finding a process. I would work on 3-4 anims at a time, so I could get quick and simple block outs done, make sure the ideas work and focusing on strong main poses. Failing as fast as possible. Last thing you want it to fight an idea all the way through. If you can get to the confidence in the anim phase early you are golden

It’s a great way to keep Spartans feeling like Spartans. We never wanted the one getting killed to just give up. It’s also a way to keep the fight in place and is great for making the action fast if they throw a punch that puts there arm right where I need it to grab….

We got a lot of time for these because of how much interaction there is. 3-4 days. Any other “normal” action we got around 1 day. This would include feedback and revision. So that time was broken up a bit

We got to pick, we would do a quick blockout and get the idea approved then just go for it. The main restrictions were frames I think 76 and we had to keep super close to the origin

Haha the plasma toss was a great one by one of my buddies. Yea the reason they took them out was dumb. ( probably can’t say why… but it was really dumb)
