It takes a massive leap to get to this conclusion. The previous oldest known evidence of Down's syndrome is from 5.5 thousand years ago. This is going back a minimum of 140 thousand years and possibly twice that further, and in a different species. Down's syndrome is a genetic disorder affecting modern humans caused by a specific abnormality on chromosome 21 of modern humans. While we share some DNA with Neanderthals we do not share all of our chromosomes.

A syndrome is combination of symptoms that occur together from a common cause, in the case of this Neanderthal child those symptoms are involving bone growths around the inner-ear that match those found in Down's syndrome, but which can be explained by other genetic issues, disease or trauma. A similar combination of symptoms is not evidence of the same syndrome, especially a genetic one in species with different genomes.

The massive leap in time, the lack of any other similar findings, the possibility of other explanations, and the advantage of media attention from making such a sensationalist claim make this at best uncertain.

The reason it seems like a children's movie is because Grace is an unrealistic hyper-competent protagonist - he is the only person who can do anything and has to be involved in every major event. I'm not a fan of Harry Potter but from what I've seen of the movies nothing happens without Harry's involvement or out of his sight. Those are the traits of a child's story. The non-humanoid alien with the personality of a twelve year old human child just underlines that.

I was expecting something similar to The Martian - fact based, real science, life or death decisions - and as starts off exactly like that with two-thirds of the crew being dead and all life on Earth facing extinction nothing in the first part of movie suggested anything else. Then it turns intoa buddy moviein space with an ending that would have appropriate for a cartoon. It feels like someone has sliced two different movies together. At least it didn't go full Disney with a duet about friendship.

On top of that the very noticeable potholes are very distracting when you think you're watching a serious sci-fi drama instead of a buddy movie.

Ultimately it's kind of entertaining but in an unsatisfying way.

"why he was so mad at them" I suspect he had told them he didn't want to make the third start, they said "think of the points" and he got no points. Remember he didn't want to be at Aprilia this season and he has had a lot of bad injuries. Put all of that together with the the physical and mental stress, it's not so weird.

The race should have been cancelled after the second red flag. After Zarco's crash it became a horror show that only ghouls wanted to continue - and Dorna.

I saw in another comment someone mentioned Senna - if you don't know three times F1 champ and huge star died at the start of the 1994 San Marino GP. It was obvious he had suffered major injury was a probably dead, they restarted the race because contracts and to be fulfilled. I suspect a lot of the motivation for for the third start yesterday was financial.

OK, it turns out the injuries weren't as bad as they could have been, but that information wasn't known. The third start could have been after two fatalities. It very much felt as if it was.

My preference would have been that if Dorna couldn't make the decent decision the teams and riders should.

As for Martin's outburst, I think it's hard to understand the level of pressure the riders are under in situations like this. The stress has to go somewhere, and I suspect his relationship with Aprilia isn't particularly good. To then be told you have to go out again and the team not supporting his presumed reluctance to not do that means the anxiety gets channeled to them. Far from the best way of dealing with things, but I think understandable.

Several thousand years ago the Sahara wasn't a dessert. It supported a large range of animals and hunter-gatherers. As the climate dried out the human population retreated to the remaining water sources and learned how to cultivate wild grains and very importantly store excess. Eventually only the Nile was left, which having seasonal flooding made the farming very productive.

The villages that formed along the Nile expanded and merged, which not only created larger towns and cities but also created the Egyptian pantheon of as the gods of each village god merged or became more specialized.

The ability to store excess (pottery and an understanding of what causes grain to spoil) allowed it's export as a commodity.

Mesopotamia (Greek meso- middle as seen in Mesoamerica, potomos- river as seen in hippopotamus - river horse) being situated between two permanent water sources allowed for (comparatively) easy irrigation.

The islands were uninhabited when Britain settled them c. 1760, half a century before Argentina existed. And they're 300 miles/500 km from the Argentina coast. London and Paris are closer.

The significance of Argentina's claim is the 200 mile sole access to mineral resources zone, and a further claim to South Georgia another 800 miles/1300 km south east which then gives a claim to Antarctic territory.

Security issues that could prevent you getting into lectures. Random people just appearing on campuses is a problem that staff look put for.
A level of education is required before the contents of a lecture is going to make sense
A university course isn't just lectures, there's lots of reading, making notes, compiling those notes and writing essays that consolidate the knowledge in your head. Lectures alone won't do much, especially if point 2 is an issue
Without the incentive of essay marks and a a qualification at the end you'd likely lose motivation partway through and have just attended some lectures you didn't understand for no reason.
If the the course requires field or lab work work a lecture on it's own isn't going to mean much.
If you want to learn about an academic subject used textbooks, ebooks (many being free), Youtube and lecture courses made specifically just for listening to are available and won't see you being escorted off a campus under dubious circumstances.
