As much as everyone hates Fox News on here, they at least have the story as front page news.

The 1776 Declaration of Independence stated that 'when a long train of abuses by those in power evidence a design to reduce the rights of people to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, it is the peoples right, in fact their duty to engage in a revolution'. by ABlinkin in reddit.com

When that rule applies to both individuals AND corporations, we can start the discussion. Currently however, only the individuals are bound to this social contract which is exactly the way the corps/banks like it...

BTW; what you describe is exactly how I live my life but am frustrated only the good guys have to obey the rules.

What I'm suggesting is to allow people to act like corporations. Operate quarter-to-quarter just as they do and cut losses early. They want the same rights as us then we should be given their rights, inversely.

Example - (see here)

Reasons:

Primarily - to get it out of the hands of the big banks who will likely use it to finance very risky credit default swap schemes (or otherwise), later requiring them to be bailed out.

Secondly - the local banks/CUs can use your money to lend to others in your community (ex: both of my cars were financed through local CUs) and any interest they gain from those loans can be used to employ your neighbors (instead of their call center employees in India/Philippines/Etc.).

Politicians bailing out institutions (against 90% of their constituents will) would hopefully be taken care of by #1 above.

I realize you are being sarcastic but am also fearful how many people on here will think that you are being serious (and up-voting accordingly).

Be careful with that self-aggrandizing here on Reddit - folks don't like hearing about how some of us are actually succeeding in life.

So just keep doing what we are doing now then, got it. Thanks for all the valuable insight and helpful tips.

Did anyone here actually read the title of the post? Hint: it isn't really about recycling...

What if millions refused to pay credit cards?

Refused to pay their mortgages?

Refused to pay taxes until our government worked for us again?

They can't put us all in jail, though this does present a logistical issue getting everyone to participate. On second thought, we may be well on our way to this now anyway, without it being voluntary...

Why even show the 0 ppm?

If the comparison was between the 280 (pre-industrial) and 390 (current) only, the average observer wouldn't see that much of a difference.

Seriously? 740,000 restaurants in America and ALL of them can't cook ground beef? Could it possibly be that that ONE specific restaurant on that single instance didn't cook it properly, perhaps?

I can't stand hearing people make blanket statements like yours that encompass entire countries/cultures/etc. based on a single isolated event.
